There should be an AI that can help you code your projects. It is enabled by default but you can disable it. If the AI shows you a script that you like, you can confirm to “insert” it into the project by pressing a button instead of manually placing everything block for block. The AI can also help you with debugging, or suggesting ideas. Please make the AI use actual Scratch blocks though, not just plain text.

If a project used AI, there should be a label next to it saying “AI was used for the development of this project” to make it fair (If ST thinks this would create bragging or bullying, then scrap that idea).

My opinion on AI is that it does more harm than help. It can say innappropriate stuff, often states inaccurate information, costs millions, harms the enviorment, and can really only be used to not learn anything.

No support, as it can inhibit creativity and instead grow reliability on the AI model to essentially make entire projects. There are multiple places on Scratch to ask for help of other poeple, from ideas to collabs to engines, and it would be more fuffilling, more genuine, and less controversial that using an AI.

Personally I think AI does actually help people code. Whilst you may not be learning it yourself, it all comes naturally and you start getting used to how things function in scratch

Its a lot harder to filter AI then you might think…
And AI really harms the enviorment.

I know I learned a lot more about something by watching a tutorial then just being told what to do.

I like the idea. When you're stuck on something and need help, you can use a chatGPT type chatbot to help you with your code! Also, some scratch mods have added this in their editors.

Sure, it may often state inaccurate information and it may cost millions, but I think it’s a bit of an exaggeration to say the AI does more bad than good and that it harms the environment. AI can be useful at times, all it needs are some safeguards to prevent it from doing things it shouldn’t (like inappropriate stuff). I’m not the biggest fan of AI and I don’t really use it. If AI ever releases don’t feel pressured not to use it if you don’t want to.
