~ the yume daily - v.2.1 ~
march 8, 2025

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

hello people!! welcome to yet another day of yume dailies- actually, i have a ton to write today, and fortunately, it’s march break!! which means i’m pretty much free for the next seven days or so- just in time for the first cabin wars. alright- i think i should just stop rambling for a bit and then get to it, but with the addition of this section i can honestly turn everything into a diary entry if i wanted (for words, of course-), you’re welcome ^^ <3

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

positive affirmation / kindness message ::

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

three things you're grateful for today ::

1. today was the second last day of volunteering, and i had a pretty great time!! i’m not sure how exactly to elaborate on this, if i’m being honest, cause i believe i’ve already talked about it quite a bit last week ahaha.

2. i got a decent amount of sleep last night- woke up a little later than needed (i didn’t have an alarm, it wasn’t my fault >:0), but that does mean that i had like nine hours of sleep which is more than the required eight for scratch sleeping camp! yes, zy, yume slept ^^. happy early birthday xDD <33

3. i got to eat fried instant noodles today!! ^^ for those who don’t know what that is, it’s basically just your standard pack of instant noodles except the contents stir fried after boiling, it tastes absolutely amazing and I have no ide where my parents learned to make it like that oh my gosh it’s delicious (and highly unhealthy so it's not something you’d get often either xD)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

two goals you have for the day ::

1. write at least five sdc dailies before going to bed. it’s so late help but i wanted to stay awake to watch the daylight time switch soo here we are (and my keyboard is so loud sobbing?)

2. sleep. no other words literally just sleep within the time allowed or else potoppa is gonna make a yume ship song :,000

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

most rewarding / meaningful thing you did today? ::

i did konton boogie workout!! :fire: the song is so fire i love the mv i cannot physically wait for it to come out on my server *screams*

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

song of the day ::

konton boogie - wonderlands x showtime ft. kaito cover

Our story begins in a small, dainty, and most of all, unsuspecting cottage, in the middle of the ForeSWC. This cottage, in fact, was home to none other than three SWC-ers, each needing a well-deserved break from… whatever life was throwing them otherwise. Whether that included murder mysteries involving professional gamblers and suspects with the names of mythological figures, concerning members, official or unofficial, of a certain division, or perhaps the escape from a certain hospital with guards roaming the halls both day and night. Or, even, a battle against age-old viruses within the massive uncharted cyberspace full of… simpable characters(?!?), we’ll… possibly never know. (And if those sound like better stories to read, they probably are- and good news! They all exist.)

“You guys, can't we just all agree and settle on having the same request every time?” The first girl was stationed in the kitchen, watching a pot of potatoes as it started to bubble up.

Meanwhile, the two others were sitting at the dining table. From the looks of it, they were in the middle of an intense game of cards. “Ah, you think everything in life can be all balanced and ’in between’? I don't think so.”

“It’d save us a ton of time and effort, yes, but when you've got hours to spare, what's to lose?”

“Uhh… I think our potatoes are boiling-”

“Mhm, you're supposed to bring them to a simmer and let them cook.”

“And you're telling that to the person who can't cook?! I didn't even know a ladle was called a ladle until today-”

“Was it really my fault that time I almost got the kitchen burned down?”

“…It was. You did that intentionally, If I’m not mistaken.”

“Right, right…” A nervous chuckle followed. Just then, the wristband around each of the three started flashing with lights of every color- cyan, blue, purple, pink. Vibrations around the wrist also provided the extra signal. “Ah, it’s time already.”

Sent into a panic by not only the wristband but also the large bubbles forming over the pot, the girl in the kitchen quickly went over and grabbed a bowl from a nearby cupboard, carefully taking out the potatoes and straining them. “Give me a second- tell them I’m on my way- IYAA!! That burns-” Admitst the chaos, the potatoes were transferred into their bowls, smashed and added into their respective bowls of chowder. “Phew- There we go.”

“Uh-… Yu… so… A potato- flew around my room- before- you came-” The words came out of my mouth in between quick breaths, my legs still exhausted from the attempt in catching the mentioned potato.

Yu stared back at me in disbelief. “You’re telling me they escaped again? I thought we had taken care of all those procrastination potatoes just weeks ago.” I nodded, glancing down at the ground at around the room again. There was no way I was going to undergo that entire mission again. Absolutely n- “Yume, you do know what this means, right?”

Unfortunately… I do. And I didn’t even have time to be upset over Yu’s words interrupting my thought process, as another potato proceeded to crash through the window and make its way into my room, shattering the glass and causing it to scatter all over the floor. Now might be a good time to appreciate the fact that I didn’t in fact have carpeted floors. “Yu, are you sure we have to…?”

“Yes. As it appears, we haven’t quite gotten to the bottom of this whole fiasco, just suppressed it until further notice. And that further notice- Just so happens to be n-” Another crash, and another potato was sent flying through the window. “Gosh, surely this isn’t natural behavior? I have the slightest feeling someone’s behind this…” I watched in horror as a potato smacked right into the drywall creating a dent, then dropping to the floor in a splat.

“Definitely not… I think someone wants to potato us.”

Now in the depths of March, winter is swiftly melting away into spring with new beginnings rising under the warmth of the sun. With each year that passes, you look back and see what you’ve done, how you’ve improved, and just how far you’ve come. Get some tea and sip it as you let your mind freshen and prepare some rhymes! Turn that reflection and metamorphosis into an intricate poem of 150 words for 200 points. You can earn an extra 100 points for sharing proof.

to brave the sight i saw that day
to make it through and find the way
the key, once whole, now split in two
and separate between me and you

this endless loop of a winding trail
the goal to seek and must prevail
there's no end in sight, no sign of stopping
the doors go on, so i'll keep on knocking

the shower of raindrops against the wall
they only leave me, soaking into it all
for my life's been shattered, broken at best
and to mend all the cracks means taking no rest

the universe is cruel, as some people say
the crooked dimension we'd fled from last may
though hope still remains, if you look in the right place
the truth indeed lies, connected through our fates

and one day, if you try, you might very well find
what you've long been missing, what you've left behind
to finish off the chapter, the one you've been on
the key to your future, and what lies upon

okay so in the desperate need for words i am literaslly listening to the blaume cover of kami no manimani. this was like the first time i heard blau's voice and absolutely like- i honestly pretty certain that i also never did a ‘collab cover’ before this one- OKAY WAIT THE RHYTHM IS OFF help not the high notes part i feel like i was stretching the farthest i can but i can probably hit it a lot more naturally righ now- oh no the timing- ah the last part is better- oh it wasnt the last part even pfft- pfft yes i feel like there's definitely a lot more potential the lalala parts were a little off and our voices were a little muffled. okay time to listen to something else and critique myself because i genuinely need words bahahah here we go

alright i literally still do not know how bullet labels releases have like this many views and likes and everything but oh my gosh they cannot mix at all- whiplash- i seriously feel the need to re mix this entire cover by myself cause like, there's so much potential yet someone clearly went crazy on the compressors cause my vocals sound absolutely bass boosted, i can't even properly judge or make comments on this the like- there are some decent-ish singers in here and i don't want to call anyone out but it also just doesn't sound like- cohesive, all the mixing is everywhere and just doesn't have the- oh my gosh wait some of the pronunciation is just wrong. i think the timing is the biggest problem in terms of me enjoying this cover, for spop some of the pronunciation is seriously not bad but i just can't properly credit where it's due for all those above mentioned reasons. the instrumental ends later than the vocals and i'm pretty sure that isnt supposed to happen. also the line distribution here is kind of bad pfft i barely have any lines in some of the other songs, this one is okay cause we picked our parts and everything but the rest ehhh- i don't know sob

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

Part 1: Pros and Cons - 325 words

love triangle
pros:
- it is possible to integrate more than one ‘main’ character in the story
- creates room for conflict between people/characters
- external as well as internal struggle for those involved

cons:
- might take focus off the protagonist if overstressed
- the story is going to have to be romance no matter what (but that was the intention-)
- no double dates.

the chosen one
pros:
- there is usually a clear goal for them to achieve
- creates pressure (aka internal struggle) on the main character to hold up this prophecy of sorts
- can integrate fantasy or supernatural elements in a way that doesn't seem like overkill
- twists are possible-?

cons:
- the protagonist is often very protagonist-coded (aka. the story is centered around them and them only)
- there isn't too much room to shift the storyline in terms of the main idea/goal

damsel in distress
pros:
- creates the possibility of a love relationship
- heroizes the hero that saves them from whatever it is that they were captured in

cons:
- depicts females as weak and powerless, cannot protect or save themselves from harm
- the damsel in distress doesn't usually have much storyline to them

reluctant hero
pros:
- room for character growth or improvement throughout the story, encouraging them to later take risks etc
- can be easily integrated into multiple other tropes, an example being the ‘chosen one’ or prophecy trope
- change of setting is usually guaranteed
- internal struggles to take up the role

cons:
- usually generic personality, or slightly irritating which could be dislikable by readers in the beginning
- they might not be able to fully pick up the conviction to be deemed a hero

metaphor
pros:
- creates vivid imagery throughout the story
- makes it easy to tie any references you might want into your story and characters
- more descriptive than simple narration or any form of normal dialogue

cons:
- can be misleading and confusing to readers if not delivered properly
- restrictive unless added to other tropes

Part 2: Favorite Trope - 448 words

the world has never been easy on us, hasn't it? it's like some otherworldly force wants you to be the one to save the world but doesn't even tell you in advance. one thing i absolutely dislike is spontaneous plans, if you were wondering. probably among my worst pet peeves. yet, here we are- no, here i am, stranded without any help whatsoever to… go on a mission to save genesis. how utterly amazing.

look- it's not that i don't want our world to be saved and everything. hey- i'm a fairy. if it weren't for that, i would be spared from all of this… stuff, but there's no exit for me at this point. i swear i wasn't expecting anything that wasn't freedom to occur to me after that one time zena told me those pills were toxic. to a certain extent, at least. i never knew they were, not until then. i guess i do owe her half my life, but if i had never stopped, goodness knows i wouldn't be stuck in this dystopia of a world, being the only one left to find the cure to the most disastrous outbreak genesis has ever faced in the history of this world's existence in all. but the worst part? i have no one to help me. no one. at all. i had never been on a proper mission with a group of people in the past, even, besides the minimal assistance the linx sometimes called for, and the few times i've went with vivien. ah, vivien… i miss her so badly. when you've had to spend the last three weeks without your best friend in the entire universe, you'll understand where i'm coming from, but as of now, that's where i am. and unfortunately, there's no one else available to even get her awake again… except me.

the one thing that never made sense to me though, why did it have to be me, out of all the people zena's tried to convince, that actually followed what she said. alright, maybe that was a partial lie, as everyone else who did actually ended up leaving this place. for good. i would call the other back if i could- it's just a shame and a struggle that genesis is blocked off from the rest of the universe, without communications to literally any other place outside of our walls. and because of that, i'm trapped here with absolutely no way out (the guards have also fallen, so there's no one to open the otherwise unopenable gates) and the quest to… save the people of genesis. i'm gonna break it to you- i seriously don't know where to start.

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

Part 3: Unique Twist - 530 words

filomena had never knew of a life like this. in fact, she would have never dreamed what she was part of such a beautiful, yet dangerous world, full of magic and mystery worthy of a fairy tale- after all, never after was the world of the fairies. was once, the world of the thirteen fairies, who ruled over never after and kept peace within the realm. it never occured to her that, the books that she's been growing up reading, the never after series, in particular, would be filled with… lies. these fairytales weren't the truth, not even close. most of the stories depicted in those books were written to mislead humans into thinking all the wrong things about these fairytales, and there was nothing they could physically do to stop it- after all, the books have already been written, and it's not like the people in this world, our world, the one with our planet earth, knew any better.

that was until carabosse, the thirteenth fairy, came along. her goal? to finish writing the last never after book, and set things right for both realms forever. however, queen olga, the ruler of the ogres, had other plans. she cast a war over never after, sending her army to every corner of the realms, across every kingdom, in an attempt to destroy fairy magic for once and for all (or maybe, keep it to herself and turn it into ogre magic, and we'll never know, because we're humans, and all we can do is wait for the stories to be brought to us on thin or thick, rectangular, not too shiny silver platters known as books, either hardcover or paperback, the choice is yours! totally not gaslighting anyone into anything, what do you mean, i'm clearly still neutral about this scenario…) and she was… quite successful. she had destroyed all but three… three, was it three? my memory isn't serving, but three. one of those was carabosse, the thirteenth fairy as we mentioned. before her passing, she had given filomena jefferson-cho (yes that filomena we were talking about!) her blessings, and now filomena (supposedly) has her powers! or, some variation of it.

but that's where our version of the story differs. yes, never after is meant to be a correction of all the wrongdoings that the ones who wrote what we know as our fairy tales (if that made any sense at all, and i apologise if not), but what about bias? has no one ever… thought about that one? since carabosse was the one taking on the task of rewriting these stories, without anyone else's input, has no one, ever, thought of the possibility that carabosse is still evil? yes, you heard that right. our thirteenth fairy is just as unlucky as the speculations around the number. eternally cursed to… curse, carabosse's ‘blessing’ on filomena is nothing but a curse she was cursed to hex herself with in order to seal her predetermined fate. and yes, filomena, that means that the thirteenth fairy's death came from your existence in never after. the “chosen one” isn't the chosen one for no reason, as we've probably seen enough times by now.

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨ ✧ ୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

Part 4: Implementing Them - 727 words
tropes used: prophecy, chosen one(s), damsel in distress

Tsuki glanced out of the small glass panel of her enclosure. She placed a hand on the transparent boundary, and the glass felt cool against the palm of her hand. She took a deep breath.

Let… me… out…

The girl let out a long, quiet sigh. The voices didn't come back to her. In fact, they haven't for months, and it's been more than worrying to the purple-haired girl who had no other life than to… wait. To wait to be discovered. It felt wrong. To be separated from who she really were, to be enclosed in… wherever she was. In fact, she couldn't even be too sure what she was trapped in was glass, but that seemed to be what Yume called it. Yes, that Yume. The girl who looked almost identical to her, the only exception being the color of her hair, a dark brown instead of Tsuki's own dark purple. They even shared the same hairstyle, with half their hair down and two clumps from each side tied up with dainty white ribbons. They were technically the same person, after all, so it made sense.

She's not being herself, and she doesn't even know it. She's never known anything about - well, my existence. This just feels more and more wrong the more i think about it, how we're two parts of the same person…

Tsuki had somethig Yume didn't. Tye fact that she had full knowingness of Yume's existence, first of all. She wasn't even sure if this was normal- she had known no other person besides the voices that would constantly call her name, request her do whatever it is that would make them happy. Sure, she could sing. Sure, she could dance. And sure, she could do anything she would ever want as long as it didn't require the use of any extra equipment. All she had was this chamber, herself, and the white key she had found on the floor after she woke up one day. (Of course, she had the clothes that were constantly in her. Let's not go into that topic- oh! And a whole lot of the same white ribbons. It just so happened to turn out that having a pair constantly on your head for the entire day causes them to wear out pretty quickly.) From memory, that day she had discovered the key seemed to be months, maybe even years ago, she wasn't exactly sure, but it's definitely been a good while. She wasn’t sure what it was made of- it was cool to the touch, reflective, and the slightest bit iridescent. Either way, it came attached to a piece of string, so it was only natural she had wore it around her neck ever since.

And I’m the one that’s supposed to get out of wherever this place is and save her… But there’s nothing I can do. A prophecy is just a prophecy, after all, right…?

Where did those voices even come from? Tsuki looked around her, quite like the past however many days, or weeks, or even months, that the voices didn’t call. The “voices”, the “prophecy”, were all just names she had come up with to address whatever was calling her. The voices were strange. She couldn’t quite make out the distinct voice of the ones calling, it was almost as if it were a different person every time, but the phrases were always oddly cryptic or poetic- something she’s grown to dislike by quite a lot.

They keep talking about this… sense. Some supernatural ability that some of us have…

They’re talking about me.

The realization had struck her since a few weeks ago, and it’s been bothering her ever since. Being trapped here was part of her destiny, and someone had to get her out of here. And they eventually had to, as that’s how the story is supposed to go. Someone, some person out there, has the ability to reach out to all of them. To save them from from being stuck in their respective worlds. To unite them. And maybe, just maybe, finally put their “inconveniences” to good use.

At least, that’s what I hope will happen. That’s what the voices had said, what they had promised me not so long ago. And if they’re right… it’s not just me, either.

Someday, it’ll happen. I’m sure of it.

you're saying yume can host swc for a day. actually, genuinely, without that one silly joke comment i posted earlier in the session on how alana should just let me host the studio so i can bump fairy tales to first right away? yes, i'm in /silly

anyways, all jokes aside, what yume will do if yume had tyranny over swc! here we go, it;s gonna be a wild ride :0
first of all, i will normalize the use of wandahoi. wandahoi is such an amazing catchphrace, and multiple people within camp already know about it and use it. i think with yume on the host team, wandahoi will definitely become the new norm and shall be used in all swc… stuff.
i also think that we should have megasessions again! yes, those 21 cabin crazy chaos sessions that we had a total of one time, back in july of 2023 i think (my memory's terrible, don't come get me if i'm wrong). i personally thought the 21 cabins was really fun- there were less campers in each cabin, so wcgs weren't too much of a thing unless the storyline asked for it, which i think having less studios does work well (cough cough remember when word adding was done literally on the cabin studio cough- or is yume just too old :,D). also, it was very intensely competitive, and chaotic in general. the smaller leadership teams probably meant less disputes, though i can't say for sure on that once since i didn't lead that session. having more cabins also provides more oppurtunities to bring in more new cabins, and i certainly love seeing new additions to the lineup hehe <3
even if we don't have megasessions, i'd love to see the 15 cabin lineup come back as the ‘normal setting’. i understand that there might not be as many campers as before to accomodate for that, but that's where !!yume advertising!! comes in!! i'll probably go on like a hundred different profiles and advertise swc to them like it's the best thing to ever exist, because it kind of is?? and i'll also share not one, not two, not three, but twenty seven promotional projects before every session (yes, exactly that amount). if that sounds like a lot, an aesthetic set is actually five projects, so it's technically five aesthetic sets, then separate projects advertising leader apps and camper signups. yume will do everything in her quite powerless power to make this community the fullest most chaotic one possible.
i would also suggest for there to be a mascot for each cabin that the leaders and cos can come up with, so each session we'll have an entire group of unique themed mascots to add to the lineup :>> it'd be really fun!!

guess what, yume has finally committed to writing these again. OH AND YUME JUST GOT A MESSAGE BRB XD- alright yume is back. setting a goal to beat my unni would be unrealistic to every extent at this point (HOW ARE SO MANY PEOPLE OVER 40K. THIS IS… CONCERNING. yes, yume was a little crazy back in november, but it took me a total of 29 days to get to 42k and speedran 10k words the very last day since i was severely behind jdshfjksd. at least that means i'm sleeping bahaha-) i'm currently in the process of speedrunning a bunch of words before i get to bed so that i can actually like- catch up, at least somewhat, to everyone that's before me right now. and also on a marathon to finish the entire loossemble discography (which i actually just did xD) so iei!

the anticipation for tomorrow is easily outweighed by your achievements from today.

okay so i have to make this fast (why did i make this 9 parts again sjdfhkjsd i have to sleep soon because my mom is calling me), but i have a choir field trip tomorrow ieii!! so basically spend a day outside of school doing nothing but singing and hanging out with one of my closer friends from this school aaa i genuinely don't want to sleep now xDD

and uh what else- i'm grateful we got to eat noodles for dinner tonight! we usually eat rice, i have nothing against rice, but noodles are literally my favorite food ever and i will eat noodles if my life depended on it.

finally aaaa- YES RIGHT!! almost forgot, how could i- it appears i haven't actually camper-ed ever since july 2023, which is absolutely crazy to think about?? and i get to camper again in writing universe camp (aka wuc, see i'm stalling so hard for words jsdghfk) so that's very exciting hehehe <3 the anticipation for cabins is always the best ahaha ALRIGHT CONTINUING TODAY'S ONE TOMORROW BECAUSE YUMEMOM IS GETTING ON HER LAST STRAW :,D. the song of the day is moonlight by loossemble i actually love that song sm alright good night

yume is going to ramble. yume will give you this fair warning that she may very well end off that way, but let's get started anyways.

this fantastic- no- i mean, wonderful holiday, is none other than… worldwide becoming potatoes day. also known as “sekai wa potato ni natte iku” day, if yume's japanese is sufficient. celebrated on the 7th of november each year, the inital release date of the song in-game, becoming potatoes day is a celebration of not only the song's release anniversary, but potatoes in general. on this day, we are celebrating the harvesting of potatoes, the bare existence of potatoes (yes, including the procrastination ones), and most important of all, succumbing to the potatoes- so, in general, become a potato for a day. have yourself a well-deserved break, and stir up some chowder (cold, if you're fancy with references) to enjoy as a little treat to yourself. and of course, if you're one of the sekai fanatics, dancing to the becoming potatoes 3dmv, playing the song, and just watching the music video or playing the song on repeat should be literal second nature. yes, that's right. if you ever met a sekai addict or perhaps more specifically a becoming potatoes or wonderlands x showtime addict… you know what, never mind. you've already met one… hello! yes, of course, the becoming potatoes fan that wrote and invented this holiday. you're welcome. ^^

yume did indeed stall. if you'd like further information on the holiday, feel free to check out the project linked alongside this weekly to see some of the festivities for yourself. enjoy!!

a stray piece of pizza could be seen lying on the ground of a particular entrance. and no, it was not just any entrance in particular. the archway was the gate to what looked like a wide expanse of fields, with small… structures, dotting the scenery. oh, and there were chips too, a lot of them if i’m being honest, just scattered across the grass and the paved roads. people from all around the world- no, the universe, speaking all sorts of different languages (yes, latin included, of course) were all gathered in this one specific… place.

but where was this place, even? there were what looked to be cabins. ah, maybe this was a camp of sorts! from afar, you could almost make out what looked to be dragons and goblins, graffitied onto the windows with spraypaint. the rest of the cabins were also heavily decorated, and one in particular was painted entirely in purple with starry drapes covering the rooftop. dragons and goblins? you ask yourself, unsure what else to expect, this place isn’t magic, is it? whatever it was, though, you can’t help but think that at least some of this looks to be familiar. where have you seen something like this before, though…?

after a little while of walking, you come across a crossroad. from looking around a but, you see a sign in front of you that showed multiple different colored arrows pointing in various directions. settling on the first one that you lay eyes upon, you walk along one of the forked paths. slowly but surely, you make your way over to the closest little lodge. you feel your heartbeat racing as you extended a shaking hand out to the door.

before you could even bring your fist close enough to knock, you are stuttered back by the sudden sound of music coming from inside the cabin. for a cabin, this one definitely doesn’t have much soundproof building material… or maybe they were just blasting the song on… unearthly volumes (and did you know the song too?). after all, you still haven’t really made out where this place is. it looked a little bit like a plain field when you first arrived, but upon looking back again, the scenery seemed a lot more like a forest. and just then, you feel a drop of water splash against your shoulder, wetting your garments. ah, it’s raining now. …and where were all the people that were going along the path just like you, just minutes ago? the uneasiness crept up to you just a little bit more with every passing minute.

daily #30
527 words

I don't think anyone's ever thought of such a thing. in fact, I am probably not even doing this right. this stream of consciousness is just going to be a ramble of… I don't know what to call it. clearly, surviving 27 days of the exact same event was not what was on my to do list nor my wish list for my entire life. I'm losing my mind. Yes, you could probably tell that it is the result of having the exact same plans for almost the entire month, and the same breakfast, lunch and dinner. But hey, if living through this is what it takes to help him win on the leaderboard, I wouldn't mind doing this forever for all the points we'll get that all it's scratch riding, and anything can happen, and I won't be doubting a single other happening that will… happen to me in the near future.

So, I figured I should probably at least give you some idea of what I've been doing these past days for almost a month. The thing is, it's nowhere near my birthday. I didn't think it would be happening to me anytime soon since it were supposed to be almost half a year later. I woke up one day, saw the calendar change as usual, and that’s what really confused me. For a second I thought I was just dreaming, so I attemptedly slapped myself up and down (though i don’t think my hands while unconscious or conscious could never slap hard enough, honestly) and yet nothing happened except the fact that it was still my birthday. It didn't make sense. It didn't make sense to me at all. I have never seen something like that besides the stories and movies and I didn't think it would happen to me out of all people and out of all days. As I had requested the week prior, we set out to collect our chestnut cake that we had ordered a few days earlier, and for lunch myy parents cooked their signature fried noodles. I could honestly never get enough of that if there is one thing that I won't complain about this entire situation, it's those noodles.

I never liked big parties, either way, which is ironic, considering the crazy celebrations that I used to have with an extended family, while I was younger and barely thought that a birthday was an annual thing, but then it really felt like it was all condensed. It didn't feel an entire three hundred and sixty five days apart, but it really was and I guess you can say time does fly when you're relaxed and don't have 1 million things on your plate such as completing the weekly having endless days to complete the weekly would be a beneficial thing but at least for what's happening to me I wake up every day with the exact amount of weekly had left the day before my birthday, except the weekly due date changes pretty much every single day, so it’s never due yet I’d never be able to finish it…? This is all just way too confusing now.

swc mar '25 ~ daily #31
thank-you notes

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

to…

our dearest hosties, ghosties, and the honoraries in between!!

hii hosties, ghosties, and everyone else (you all are super amazing and legendary, and will not thank you so much for yet another amazing session, you guys are absolute icons. the train/ticket to ride theme this session was so great?? you all never fail to deliver us swc-ers pleasant surprises and just the right amount of chaos for each month that goes by. it’s been twenty four sessions in all- over seven years of camp, and all of you have done an absolutely incredible job in upholding this wonderful legacy. taking up all the sorting (robin), coordinating all the activities (moss) and the polar bears (alana), and of course handling all the judging (ave) and comms (rockie)- i don’t know how all of you manage to find the time for all of this, but i’m not complaining <3 thank you all so much!! swc just wouldn’t exist without all of you and all the hard work you put into each and every session. i can’t wait to see what you all come up with for july, i know it’s going to be absolutely wonderful <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

the amazing polar bears + polar bear minions!! (whose inspiration never runs out, somehow :0?)

it was amazing getting to be a part of the polar bear minions once again this session- seeing you guys come up with the activities and us minions writing up all the daily and weekly parts always feels so magical (did you all like the swc time machine ref :>>), and i’m honored to be able to do this for yet another session. polar bears- cj, alana, amethyst, ris- you’re all amazing <33 AND THE PROJECT WEEKLY. it looks amazing. …and you all sing too well <3. thank you so much aaaa!!! (you can have all my lasagna- and what was that, you didn’t go on strike this session? we’re so very proud of you all /silly <33)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

the super wonderful memory book committee!!

i’m sure you’re all working super hard getting the memory book done while i’m spending my time typing this, so i’ll keep it short for you all- thank you so much to all the members of the mbc for the time and effort you put in to creating and designing each and every slide. and of course, a special shoutout to alana and reese for leading it!! collecting and compiling all the memories we’ve made during the session isn’t an easy task, yet you do such a great job session after session on it. kudos to you all, and you’re all super cool <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

the swc chaoscomp trackbear!!

okay, but first of all thank you to oak for making this session’s trackbear!! the name and everything is hilarious in the best way possible <3 having a leaderboard like this really helped with writing motivation- i wouldn’t have written nearly as much as i did (which isn’t even a lot, compared to the top 5 who all have like- 100k totals) if it weren’t for all of you also striving to keep your rank and beat other swc-ers in some friendly competition. it seriously amazes me how much you all wrote- the leaderboard isn’t fully updated at the moment, but at the moment everyone within the top 10 has reached over 50k (and well over too)! congratulations <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

the entirety of dystopian: perfaith city- no, i meant zystopian- no, what i meant was slaystopian, the eternal first place cabin in all our hearts ^^!!

you guys are the best campers me (and i’d presume it’s the same for the rest of the team) could ever have asked for <33 okay, we might not have kept that position, but WE WERE FIRST, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE LEADERBOARD!! and cabin wars was so chaotically epic, every single one of you did great and no matter how much you’ve contributed to the cabin, whether it be words or points, you were all an essential part of this cabin and i’m eternally grateful for all that you’ve brought to this little community. looking forward to seeing all of you around, hopefully i’ll see you next session as well :0? <333 (and a special shoutout to the chemistry records campers for having to bear with my super generic “added!!” comments :,>> you’re all amazing though aaa)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

the stalker trio!! (aka yume’s unofficial unnis bwaha, you know who you are :eyes: )

your yeodongsaeng (did i even spell that right hhh) is not kidding when i say apps this session was literally one of the most exciting bahaha, but getting to be on the swc leadership team with the stalker alliance was super fun and definitely something i didn’t know i needed. it’s seriously hard to believe that the first session we shared together was march of last year, back in our beloved letter terminal. further justifies my reason of half-shoving the camper signups in front of you back then- it was absolutely worth it, and i don’t think we would have gotten nearly as close as we are now if that had never happened. so thank you, for making every session since the most fun and chaotic *insert customary bow* <33 (p.s. i still think that dropping yume down anything at all is not a good idea :,0)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

alana!! @-nightglow-

alana banananalana gets a note for the absolute insane amount of chaos this session!! from the entire fairy tales leaderboard climb, the sheer amount of wars you sent, to the main cabin description destruction we just witnessed, you made sure that this session stayed engaging for us all (and i hope you’ve been eating your breakfasts in between the chaos that is swc!! and 100k words- i find it a bit hard to believe you’re in comp sci /lh /j) thank you so much, you’re a legend <3

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

bea!! @alfalfa78

bea! we didn’t talk as much throught the session as we did before, but can i just say that every conversation i’ve shared with you during the planning portion of swc was so fun and i loved every bit of it. if you ever see this, thank you so much for being the super nice, funny person that you are while you were here, and i’m sure of it even now <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

blau!! @blauhourglass

aaa hi blau!! her majesty nyx has returned to the swc leadership team in the best way possible, and blau in mystery was absolutely amazing. the pfps?? what else can i say- as much as i would have wished for yet another blaume cabin, it was so fun getting to honararily camp in mystery and division night (poking benjamin i think is arguably the best part ^^). and just all our conversations in between, even, and the laughs we had along the way. and most of all, i think, everything you’ve done for the sibling trio. (listening to the playlist as i’m writing these notes ahaha) SWCOZ WILL REMAIN SUPERIOR!!! thank you so much for dedicating this past month and a bit to swc even after you’ve left- her majesty really is amazing in every way, and mere words cannot fully express the eternal gratitude and thank yous i have for our queen blau <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

chuey!! @chueythecat

eee hello chuey!! thank youuu for returning my toes i will be forever grateful ^^ <33 okay okay all jokes aside, mystery was so amazing this session?? your endless chaos, whether it be stealing toes, fighting illu-fi and sci-fi to war us, sending tardigrades at the sibling trio, or hitting sid with a frying pan (you should have seen the look on my face when i saw it in the mlt studio xD), your energy has always made my day. it’s been an absolute honor helping you add words and getting all the little conversations in between. thank you!! <3 (and i might be entering your dta after all :0)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

eevee!! @amazaeevee

eevee!! i loved all our little conversations throughout the session- the trackbear and cabin wars really brought us together in the best way, and i couldn’t ask for any more. congratulations for reaching 100k!! you deserve it <33 thank you so much for being a part of dystopian- you carried us through cabin wars, seriously. (and i have endless gratitude to you introducing me to the font known as redacted script.) <3

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

livy!! @fireblood23

hi livy!! though we didn’t get to talk just as much as last session, i enjoyed all our conversations within the session anyways <3 and those thriller pfps are absolutely adorable?? like- they’re so cute, i can never get over them and will probably be using mine sometime between sessions. thank you for your endless humor and camp chaos, you’re amazing <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

lora!! @coco_animator

(ahaha, blau and i’s manifest threads from that day worked!!) it was so fun getting to talk to you this session, although i do think it could have been done a little more ;w;- you seem like a really cool person who i’d love to get to know more, and sorry for making you and sarah cope with the chaos that is the rest of the sibling trio :,D thank you so much for making this session amazing!! <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

luka!! @butterpopcorn8

hi luka!! (are you getting flashbacks /hj /lh) thank you so much for leading sci-fi this session!! an hsr cabin :0 sci-fi this session looked so cool aaa, and sorry for making you bear our sibling trio chaos ;w; and i don’t believe i’ve said this earlier but please do take care of yourself <3 this session also marks the fourth session in a row i’ve been in the same sibling trio as luka :0 thank you so much for everything you’ve done for this camp, you’re an icon <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

mildred!! @moosywoosy

mildred!! although we didn’t talk as much as we did as last session since we’re in different cabins, i enjoyed every little conversation we had throughout this session just as much. the fantasy pfps?? are stunner?? like jksadfgk thank you they look amazing. thank you for all the chaos and humor you bring to swc, camp wouldn’t be the same without you <33 (and yes, since the session is finally over the kaito kid set and pjsk-fied scifi pfp is on the way ^^)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

mouse!! @-bookdragon-

if it isn’t one of our frequent warrers! hi mousey ^^ try telling me it’s been two whole years since we first met back in march 2023, i wouldn’t believe you. you’ve always been such a supportive and chaotic person and i loved talking with you this session (but clearly we did not do that enough ? >:< there’s always next time though!) thank you so much for leading illu-fi and making it so amazing- the pfps?? i’m still in shock- (and of course, battling our chaos siblings mystery and sci-fi just to bombard dystopian with wars whenever our shield was down bahaha) and congrats on reaching 100k!! we knew you could do it hehe, you’re an icon :sparkles: <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

sage!! @babyoda1546

joining the chain of everyone who has sage in their thank-yous, except i have bragging rights for putting you in them last session already as thanks for critiquing my piece (but never got to sending last session’s at all :,D i procrastinate too much hhh) ^^ anyways!! thank you for doing… all that you do!! the chaos you bring, as well as leading myth this session (it was so pretty hsgdjkhsd??)! “thank you sage,” we all chant in unison <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

sarah!! @froggola

aaa sarah (the moon fairy)!! (yes yume remembers xD) it’s crazy how long it’s been since we first led fairy tales together along with sophie, that was so fun and this session was no different- it was so fun co-ing dystopian with you and i enjoyed every little conversation we shared as well. (and because of you, i have listened to chaccone for the first time today while writing this ahaha ^^) thank youuu for making this session amazing (as well as the dystopian banners, they’re so pretty :0) you’re so amazing eee <33

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

sooeun!! @black__hole

SCREAMS unni co-led a cabin!!! sci-fi looked so cool this session- it still makes me laugh every time i accidentally go to the previous session’s sci-fi and it reminds me that you’ve been in the cabin two sessions in a row (and now we’ve both led sci-fi! ^^) thank you so much for all our little conversations throughout the session, whether they be downright silly or actually serious, like the time we decided to speedrun the third weekly in a day then proceeded to turn that into a full-fledged weekly speedrun studio. and of course, the chaos you brought to cabin wars, fighting mystery and illu-fi to send us a war the second our shield gets lowered as well as the sibling trio! (and i am playing demon lord from the playlist as i’m writing this ^^) thank you so much!! <33 (28k as a goal is a lie. you wrote over 60k :SOB: sooeun better sleep now that camp is over hhh.)

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

zy!! @zyzeryko

hello zy!!! it’s hard to believe that i used to call you… names that aren’t “zy” xD like- it just doesn’t seem believable that we first met all the way back in like- 2020?? time really flies, but i can say with full confidence this session was beyond amazing. it was truly an honor to be co-leading zystopian (aka slaystopian ^^) with you and sarah- i loved every little moment of it, as well as planning the sibling hangout with the rest of the team (we will always remember zylion and z, y, and yz the munchkin ballerinas :sparkles: and zy’s hatred for tardigrades ahaha- although that i can agree on.) thank you thank youuu zy will always be amazing <333

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

and of course, to the entirety of swc!!

words cannot express the amount of gratitude to each one of you- no matter if you got another note from above (and my sincerest apologies if we’ve interacted and yumemory decided to give up on you specifically- i genuinely cannot remember specifics unless i write them down and i… did not in fact do that :,D) or your specific role in swc, this camp wouldn’t be what it is today without you. so, thank you all so much, for the endless support, chaos, and motivation you’ve all given me. i seriously can’t stress enough how this camp has changed my life for the better. whether you’ve contributed words or points to your cabin, or whether you’ve reached your word goal or not, you’re all a vital part of this amazing community and i owe you my thanks. thank you, swc, for yet another unforgettable session. see you all around next session <3333

yume answers random swcer questions (again)
credits to kenzie for the original project! ^^

⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆ ୨୧ ⋆ ┈┈┈┈┈ ⋆

Q: Nickname?
A: yume! …to be fair, it's my nickname on here but i also use it when talking to myself irl pfft- i guess it's just habits i've built since like five, six years ago xD

Q: First session?
A: aaaa i would assume this would mean first official session, that would be march 2021! i first found swc in march 2020 though, just didn't know signups or backups were a thing :,)

Q: Favorite session?
A: this is incredibly hard. i want to say all of them, since, well- every session has all of its wonderful bits that makes it what it is. however, if i had to pick just one, at the moment i'd argue it'd be march ‘24, the epistolary and gurtle chaos session <3 i seriously loved that one for what it is and i wrote most of more memorable swc pieces during that session as well. (that last soup weekly remains my love.)

Q: Least favorite session?
A: hhh. don’t do this to me :,DD i think the main idea for this response is just one you may not have enjoyed the most, which would probably be my first and third sessions since i wasn't too active </3

Q: Favorite cabin?
A: going on from two questions before, most likely epistolary for the aesthetic… but all the cabins i've been in were amazing, and it'd be unfair to pick between them. however, favorite cabin outside of the ones i've camped in would probably be naan-fi, fantasy wishing well, illu-fi mushroom village, and moss' gothic cabins (THEY WERE ALL SO PRETTY GO STALK THEM YOU WON'T REGRET IT <3)

Q: Have you ever been a (co) leader?
A: yep! long story short since i need to pause my writing for this project in a few minutes aha

Q: What was your favorite cabin you've (co)led? (if you haven't co-led a cabin yet, what's your favorite cabin you've seen made by others?)
A: THIS IS SIMPLY UNFAIR. WHAT- WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THE “FAVORITE” QUESTIONS :,)) (/lh, no offence kenzie but this is just… too difficult for yume ;w; ) i already answered the second part unknowingly as well- okay i'll just go ahead and mention the cabins i've co-led, which would be dystopian and script! both cabins were super cool and super high pressure and my leader and fellow cos were just really nice, this also applies to any cabin i've led or camped in, you all are amazing raaaahh

Q: Someone you admire/look up to in SWC? (can be more than 1!)
A: all the hosties, gHosties, and every single person who has contributed in the camp in any way <33 a very yume answer but that's indeed true- though, i think a special shoutout needs to go to the birdi stanning cult hehehe

Q: Favorite SWC inside joke?
A: mangoes is a popular one which i do like, but my favorite at the moment has to the (thor)th weekly <333 literally the best thing in the whole entire galaxwc, ris you really are blessed aaaa

Q: What cabins have you been in?
A: in order, we have: mythology mar ‘21, poetry coffeehouse mar ’23, dystopian spy society jul ‘23, fairy tale(s) academy nov ’23, (help what 2023 feels liks so long ago now TT), epistolary letter terminal mar ‘24, (the high pressure washing machine) script podcast jul ’24, sci-fi (swc) time machine nov ‘24, and dystopian perfaith city mar ’25!! can't wait to see what'll come next :00

Q: What was the account you used for your first SWC session?
A: @cs4438815 ^^

Q: Favorite daily?
A: aaa. another hard one- this is probably a controversial opinion but the daily in which you write less for each hour you slept xDD it was definitely an… interesting experience to see everyone that doesn't sleep enough get their payback ahaha- and also the pb strike ones are always fun ^^ (the one session i was on the 50k grind i wrote letters to and from myself on the topic of the strike, it got pretty crazy xD) but that aside, three word stories, soup dailies, and the flower daily definitely stand out as classics, but shamefully enough i haven't really participated in those ones recently :,)) planning on changing that next session when they come back aaa. OH ALSO how could i forget??? the no points cabin swap weekly was the best thing we had since motivational mangoes.

Q: Favorite writing comp entry you've read? (yours or someone else's)
A: no idea, they're all so good sobbbb- …except mine of course :,>

Q: Favorite Weekly?
A: project weekly wise, probably a three-way tie between memorieswc, swcaboose, and absurdly birdi wordy crawl! fourth weeklies are more often than not one extremely large soup daily and i really love the freedom of those. however, in terms of general weeklies, i particularly loved the cabin creation weekly and the journalism weekly (though i never finished the latter :,0)

Q: Favorite In-cabin activity?
A: qotds are always fun! i find that they more often than not give the campers an excuse to visit the cabin's main studio more often (and also bring in an occasional flow of stalkers :>)

Q: What advice would you give to new swc-ers?
A: have fun! write! do dailies and weeklies! most importantly, try getting to know some swcers! the community is genuinely so welcoming, after just one session you'd feel like you've known each other since forever. the bonds made in this camp can seriously go far, don't underestimate it. aaaand of course, try convincing some of your other friends to join! no camp is complete without some (quite literal ahaha) friendly competition- to which you should also join the swc leaderboard so that you can compete against the rest of camp in terms of word count! tried and true motivation method >: P

Q: Favorite application idea you've seen?
A: i am very biased because i love trains but mildred's train app was so pretty- and i also remember loving mouse's hero's journey app a lot aaa- livy's app from this past session definitely stood out to me, blau's rui-themed app was a whole lot of memories, and sooeun's encryption app basically made me collapse laughing and crying at the same time :,D <3.

Q: What inspired you to join SWC?
A: ZY!! the all amazing super cool (but refuses to admit it :<<<) extremely talented artist and writer aka zyzeryko!! i first saw swc on one of his old profiles and that's where it started <3 so basically i owe zy my life… /hj

Q: Your favorite piece you've written in SWC?
A: no idea :sob: my silly persuasive essay on frying pans that i wrote late in night is definitely memorable, but as you can probably guess the quality just isn't there xD maybe it's still the mar ‘24 key chase then :0 (but yumemory fails yume half the time so there might be something i missed xD)

Q: A suggestion for SWC?
A: maybe having campers vote for next session’s theme (out of predetermined options)? i feel like that could gather interest and overall excitement for the next session to come :00

Q: What you like best about a cabin? (in cabin activity, leader quality, etc.)
A: i mean, of course you'd take into account how nice the leaders are, but since they're in that position they're probably really cool and really nice people :0 for me, i mainly look for cabin aesthetics and storyline! if a cabin has a nice-looking thumbnail, a super chaotic sibling studio, and interactive activities, then count me in <3

Q: Favorite Word wars prompt?
A: literally anything about mangoes is always so fun to write about xD i also loved chuey's one about… was it eyelashes? xD don't really remember but it was delightfully random and hilarious bahaha

Q: Favorite thing about the SWC community?
A: THAT YOU ALL EXIST :sobbb: such amazing people who are chaotic and fun yet support each other through whatever it might be <33

Q: If you were a SWC host for a day, what would you implement or change?
A: i would implement word war sending limits per person ^^. no, that doesn't exactly take away from the warring leaderboard, but i'd say it'd be a lot nicer if each person can only war a cabin let's say once or twice throughout the day, so other people from other cabins also have a chance of sending a war. and there's more stakes in terms of strategizing who to send to at what time, which could also be fun! (please spare perfaith city and our shield… you know who you are :,))

Q: Favorite thing about being a (co)leader?
A: i would say everything but as of right now what comes to mind is planning sibling studios!! i have such a soft spot for them and it's always so fun getting to plan with leaders from other cabins as well hehe

Q: Would you want to be a SWC host some day?
A: if i could, i'd honestly love to xDD however, my one concern is the amount of time i'd have to put in, definitely- but as someone who's hosted a session of another camp, it's definitely worth it <3

Q: What does SWC stand for? (silly question)
A: shinonononononomes want cheesecakes.

Q: Give me a daily idea.
A: (oh my it is finally starting to kick in how many questions there are- i remember there being less sdgafkjdg? told you my memory is <<< :,D) swc fanfic, swap roles with someone from a different cabin for a day and write from that perspective!

Q: A goal for the next SWC session.
A: the goal is to accomplish the goal i set on the first day of said session :>

Q: Favorite SWC memory?
A: aaaAAAAAAaaA stop doing this to me :,DD i was pretty much crying when i shared my key to our dreams app, even thinking about that moment brings tears to my eyes and i am not exaggerating, that app means everything to me and the relief i felt after finally getting it out is unmeasurable, definitely one of the most emotional and memorable days i've ever had <33

Q: Do you procrastinate, have an abnormal sleep schedule, and/or an obsession with Taylor Swift?
A: hhh- yes, sometimes, and no-

Q: Favorite nickname you've seen in SWC?
A: all the ris-combined leader/cabin name combinations!!

Q: What's your favorite SWC cult that you've seen or been in?
A: not sure if this counts as a cult but the swc weekly speedrunners! and if not, frying pan cult remains iconic ahaha

Q: Have you ever stayed up late for SWC?
A: i believe so :,)) can't name it but i've probably done it once or twice… ah i think once was cabin wars and the other was on the last day of nov ‘23 and i needed to write 10k that day to reach my goal ajdshjhdgsakjdh

Q: What’s your favorite part of a SWC session?
A: watching the cabin setup! always a favorite of mine both while leading and to-be campering ^^

Q: What's a song that describes SWC or a cabin you've been in?
A: pheles reminded me of dystopian perfaith city a lot, which is why i chose that for the sibling trio playlist hehe (the fact that this is getting close to 9000 characters scares me- and i still have so many questions sjgdjk)

Q: Have you convinced an irl friend to join SWC yet?
A: unfortunately not :,D the only few irl friends i have grown out of scratch wayyy back :sob:

Q: Have you ever pulled an all-nighter for cabin wars?
A: nope! xD yume likes her sleep. also i don't believe i've sent a valid war which goes to show i'm not a crazy warrer pfft-

Q: Do you have any SWC merch irl?

Yume ┊ Mhm!
Yume ┊ That was really fun- I almost want to do it all over again.

⟳┊Q.1 - About Yume - 276 words
↳ file : yume.exe

Hello hello, and welcome to my application! This upcoming session will be my ninth, and I can’t wait to spend it with all of you <3 So! Before I (probably, hopefully not) start the recollection (ooo title ref? :0) ramblefest, I should probably give you all a proper self-introduction to begin with. Here we go…!

I’m Yume (formerly a.k.a. Nabi; or Yuki, if you’re feeling silly), and I go by the pronouns she/her (or yours/mine, if you’re feeling very silly ^^) I live in the timezone of EST with daylight savings (EDT) during the summer. I’m an INFP-T, as of retaking the test while writing this, though my prospecting and judging traits are extremely close and really just depend on the day so it’s either P for productive or P for procrastination :,D! In my free time, I enjoy writing, singing (I’m in my school’s choir), dancing, graphic design, drawing, listening to music, and playing rhythm games. My favorite foods are yakisoba, which is Japanese fried noodles, and tangerine jelly, and my favorite color is #edc6ff ^^

Writing was something I had picked up interest on since a young age, though I started out only writing in a few specific genres, namely fantasy and… now that I look back at them, very silly songs! It was because of SWC that I had finally branched out into writing in more different genres, as well as finding some of my favorite genre combinations to write in, such as fantastopian and poepistolary :0 All the best to everyone applying, SWC is truly an amazing community and I can’t wait to see what this next session brings <33

⟳┊Q.2 - Experience - 294 words
↳ file : yu.exe

First and foremost, SWC! I’ve participated in a total of eight sessions so far, the first being March of 2021, in the Mythology cabin. After a two year break, Yume worked at the Poetry Coffeehouse of March 2023, then in the Dystopian Spy Society of the July megasession that year. November 2023 was my first time leading, and up until now I’ve led 3 cabins (Fairy Tale Academy, Epistolary Letter Terminal, Sci-fi Time Machine) and co-led 2 cabins (Script Podcast, Dystopian Perfaith City) respectively! Each of these cabins gave me the experience of a lifetime, and I firmly believe leading in SWC has taught me many valuable leadership traits, including adaptability, problem-solving, time management, and many more.

Outside of SWC, I’ve been a part of two irl leadership programs, one back in Grade 4 as a school program and an extracurricular one I recently joined that ends on the weekend before apps close. Both of these programs were quite different with the amount of people, the age group, and some different content, but I’ve gotten valuable takeaways from each. Most of all, I’ve developed more confidence in speaking, whether it be to share my opinion or (occasionally) defending myself (xD). I also hosted the supposedly sixth session of Scratch Design Camp this February, and experienced the wonderful chaos of hosting a camp by myself ;w;… As they say, teamwork makes the dream work, and I couldn’t agree more. xD I’m also the co-manager of an S-pop (a scratch-based kpop roleplay, for those that aren’t familiar ^^) company, which also involves communicating with many different people and getting involved in background planning work, which to me does feel similar to SWC in terms of the responsibility aspect, staying on top of timelines and splitting the workload.

⟳┊Q.3 - Cabin Preferences - 314 words
↳ file : exponential_rate.exe

Cabin preferences! Probably among my favorite app questions, actually ^^

This session, I’d love to lead Fantasy, a cabin that I’ve had on my prefs pretty much ever since the start, but never had a solid theme in mind until right now. The idea I had was to set the cabin in a ‘factory of dreams’, or a ‘dream directory’, depending on which direction we’d like to take, where people’s dreams are either made or processed, and ultimately, get transported to a ‘dream world’ or sorts, an alternate universe of sorts where everything you dream up becomes reality. My vision for this cabin is for it to be a rather storyline-intensive one, but I really don’t have much set in stone in terms of the overall plot and elements and would most definitely discuss and further brainstorm on the idea with my cos!

I’d also be interested in leading Utopian, with the yyxy-themed idea I had on my last app which explores the flaws of a seemingly perfect sanctuary, or Script/Lyric with the WxS-inspired story of working to build a stage back up in an attempt to salvage the stage and all that it stands for. Other than that, I’m fine with any other cabin! However, I’d prefer not to lead a cabin I’ve already (co)led in the past, which would be Fairy Tales, Epistolary, Script, Sci-fi, or Dystopian. I wouldn’t be too interested in (co)leading thriller, mystery, horror, romance, or any related genres since I don’t have much experience writing in those genres and would find it more difficult to come up with storyline ideas.

I really love the idea of TCTWNW, but I would prefer not to lead it this session as I enjoy the slightly competitive nature of SWC, and I believe that would work better with the amount of story-based activities I’d like the cabin to have. <3

⟳┊Q.4 - Excerpt - 727 words
↳ file : exponential_rate.exe

Tsuki had something Yume didn't. The fact that she had full knowledge of Yume's existence, first of all.

The realisation had struck her since a few weeks ago, and it’s been bothering her ever since.

⟳┊Q.5 - Time + Dedication - 157 words
↳ file : charts,exe

If I’m chosen to (co)lead a cabin, I will dedicate around 2-3 hours daily to SWC. For weekdays, I’m usually online before class, during lunch, and after I’m done with schoolwork for the day. …maybe that’s a lie, I do check in from time to time throughout the day ;o; though, just not for an extended period of time ahaha. I do have screen time controls on my device, which means I won’t be able to online past 10 p.m. EST/EDT, though this does vary depending on how much work I have on that given day. As for weekends, they’re a little more unpredictable as my family members are quite spontaneous planners, though the usual pattern is that we’d o only go out on one of the two days over the weekend unless our relatives are coming to visit. In that scenario, I’ll make sure to notify the host and leadership team in advance ^^

×┊︶⊹︶︶ : ⟳ : ︶︶⊹︶┊×

⟳┊Q.6 - Time Management - 205 words
↳ file : stats.exe

As usual, we’re starting with weaknesses! My biggest challenge in terms of time management would definitely be spending too much time and effort into one singular project, in which I end up losing track of other deadlines. I can be quite specific about making creative decisions and I really want everything I work on to be at the best quality possible, though time doesn’t always allow. This is definitely something I’m still constantly working to improve on, mostly finishing up smaller projects I know I don’t have to go too far on earlier on so that I have a better estimate of the time I’d have for the higher-effort projects. I’m also quite a bit of a procrastinator :,), which means I often end up rushing a few tasks here and there.

As for strengths, I reflect a lot on how I can improve and where I’m at for the moment, and strive to make improvements. For example, one thing I’ve found helpful is to make a list of all the tasks I need to complete and when they’re due, which helps me better envision the deadlines and which ones to prioritize. It also just feels very nice whenever you check off a completed task :0

×┊︶⊹︶︶ : ⟳ : ︶︶⊹︶┊×

⟳┊Q.7 - Collaboration - 216 words
↳ file : course_tracker.exe

In terms of working with others, I would say that I’m a pretty understanding and sympathetic person. I’m always welcome to other opinions and ideas, and would be more than happy to sort out any disagreements if they ever come up, trying to see it their way. One weakness of mine is that I can be quite indecisive at times (^^;; ), and would often let the other members on the team make decisions instead.

And assets! I’d consider myself to be pretty good designer, having been a loyal canva user for over five years (it’s been that long??). I also have a canva for education plan from my teacher, which does grant access to a lot of fonts :0 I love to draw, and although I know I’m definitely not the best, I’d be willing to contribute my existing art skills to the cabin if needed. I have a slightly weird obsession with compiling things, and would probably go about gathering random lists of things (that may or may not prove useful) related to whatever’s going on at the moment! I would also say that I can be quite passionate about the things I like to do in general, which means I’ll probably be active quite often as well as take responsibility for and complete tasks :sparkles:

⟳┊Q.8 - Leader Trait - 267 words
↳ file : battery.exe

I’ll admit, I almost always can’t decide on just one answer for this question (indecisive yume has shown herself ;w; ). Though, in the process of making and writing this app, I think I have a definite answer this time around. The quality that Yume has picked this time is… *insert drumroll*…

Adaptability! (woah foreshadowing??) Or just “flexibility”, but I didn’t want it to get confusing :,) “But Yume, why adaptability out of absolutely everything else you could have chosen?” Because! Yume thinks she embodies this quality :0. The truth is… this wasn’t supposed to be my app theme this session. :OOO …shocking, I know. Before apps were released, I had plans for a much, and when I say much, definitely much, much more ambitious theme idea for this session’s app. However, time really wasn’t in my favor this time around, as schoolwork and irl life proved to be… a little bit of a whirl. After a bit of contemplating, I decided that I’d take part of the original app and use that as the theme instead and save the rest for next session, which honestly turned out a lot better than I had initially thought it would. Being able to adapt has also proven useful in previous leading experiences both within SWC and outside of camp, since you never really know what sudden challenges you might face during the session. Sometimes, storyline adjustments, losing progress due to tech difficulties and other instances, then having to brainstorm alternate solutions, is what makes the cabins truly unique- you might even end up with something better than you initially started with.

a. Check all that apply:
| | I will be available to help add points in the main cabin consistently throughout camp.
| ✓ | I am willing to share a promotional project for SWC.

b. No, Yume is confident that she can fulfill all the leadership responsibilities listed.

c. In the case of Yume inactivity, I’ll make sure to inform the other leaders in my cabin and the host team as soon as possible and help come up with a plan to work with for the time being to ensure the cabin will run smoothly. I’ll also make sure to let the campers know beforehand and that they can continue to add words while I’m offline. If my (co)leader has to go offline for any reason, I’ll willingly fill in for them where possible. In the case where it involves a (co)leader in a different cabin, I’ll reach out to them and see how I can possibly help.

⟳┊Q.11 - Bonus - 110 words
↳ file : *unknown format* door.???

If I had a dreamhouse, it’d probably be… a Yume-house! (yes, it is literal xD) I’d imagine the floors to be a mattress, so I can sleep absolutely anywhere (including the closet ^^! finally, after so many years!!), and also very bounce resistant so I can jump around wherever I want (and collapse halfway through, Yume is just that clumsy ;w; ) There’d also be a ton of blankers and pillows to hold sleepovers in, and a desk filled with assortments of sticky notes and stationery. And uhh- probably an entire room dedicated to Airi and other PJSK merch… trust me, I’m actually a very responsible consumer unless situated in Japan xD

note ::

BOO hello i exist :0 welcome to the continuation of yumedailies!! aka yume has unfortunately not had time to touch these for a long while sobbing but since swc is back in session so are the yumedailies, yume needs words and also emotional support ;w;" anyways! since it's already kind of late here (it is just past 10 pm) i won't ramble any longer and instead actually get into it! first yumedaily of july 2025, here we go :00

▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃ ୨ ◩ ୧ ▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃

positive affirmation / kindness message ::

don't feel regretful for the things you weren't able to do, but rather feel hopeful about the things that you'll be able to accomplish.

▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃

three things you're grateful for today ::

1. i finally got a smaller protractor! i know this might not sound very significant at all ahaha, but the one i had before was seriously huge and when drawing ray diagrams my dots sometimes quite literally went off the piece of paper and like, how am i supposed to draw that :,) so although it's a bit late since the school year ended not too long ago, i'm glad my life will be easier in the near future ^^

2. emily wrote this super sweet letter for the daily :pleading:??? i feel like i actually have a good reason to do everything i wrote on that comment now, like- i'm just obligated to it now, thank you yume and her emotional decisive factor ;w; all jokes aside that seriously made my day, i went from forgetting today was july 1st and looking at my endless list of unfinished tasks

3. i went outside! and ate glass noodles!! it was very good. partially satisfied my very unhealthy daily cravings for yakisoba (rest assured, i do not have access to said yakisoba for like- literally 99% of the time so :,)) and i was very full afterwards so i'd consider that a good meal hehe

▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃

two goals you have for tomorrow ::

1. FINISH A DYSTOPIAN PFP doesn't matter whose it is just FINISH ONE AAAA

2. on a lighter note, finish the second daily! already claimed a comment to write it on, so all i need to do tomorrow is put my letter writing skills to good use (i love letters screaming this daily is scarily creeping up to yume favorite daily rank)

▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃

most rewarding / meaningful thing you did today? ::

…personally i think stepping out of the house then the car and then into the mall is a very big accomplishment in itself

song of the day ::

OOPS! ~ LOONA
firstly i've had the downloaded version (yes we boycott flopbully uncreative !!) on loop for like the whole week and second it would feel almost wrong to not do something dyspopcalyptic on the first day

swc jul '25 ~ daily #2

“Welcome to the first point-earning daily of the session—today, we’re going to send each other a bit of extra motivation as we prepare for the session. Post a couple of your goals for the session in the comments here, choose someone else’s goals, and then write them a related motivational letter or note of at least 250 words. Upon successful delivery of your letter to its recipient, you’ll earn your cabin 150 points.”

▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃ ୨ ◩ ୧ ▹ ┈┈┈┈┈ ◃

dear missy,

hello!! first of all, i must say - those goals are clear and i find them really respectable (plus somewhat relatable as well), and i'm happy that you're able to find something to motivate yourself towards completing! although i haven't interacted much with you before, i do recall seeing you throughout camp the past few sessions (most notably apocalyptic, those pfps were very iconic ahaha). you seem to be an amazing and dedicated person from what i've seen, and i have no doubts that you'll be able to achieve these goals by the end of the session <3

completing every weekly in a session is not unheard of in swc, but it is definitely quite difficult as weeklies more often than not take quite a bit of thought and effort in general (and possibly speedrunning…). i personally have not attempted this myself, but if i have any advice to offer on completing weeklies or just any task in general, it'd be to plan out how you want to finish each task as well as take short breaks in between writing. writing 2k words at a time seems like a lot, but since weeklies are already conveniently divided up into smaller parts, you can assign a given period of time to each section and get it done bit by bit. try to write about something you enjoy that still fits under the prompts! i find that usually helps to keep me going on these longer tasks.

as for starting to write a novel - first off, congratulations! a lot of consideration goes into finally deciding to use a specific idea on a novel, and with all planning you've done up until now i'm sure it'll turn out to be no short of amazing <3 i'd say to just go for it! put down whatever ideas you get, there's always time for editing and polishing up later on so don't stress too much about making it sound perfect just yet.

and as briefly mentioned earlier, make sure to take some time for yourself in between writing! (most) motivation doesn't come from staring endlessly at your screen, so take a short walk, drink some water, make yourself an energising snack, or do absolutely anything else you just so happen to wish to do during the moment (maybe except procrastinating >:0 /lh). take some motivational mangoes as well! wishing you all the best this swc session, i know you can do it <33

best wishes (and a late happy swc!),
yume
july 2nd, 2025

p.s. i'd also ask to read said novel when it does get at least partially finished, but i'd hate to put more on your plate than you already have… aaa, you got this!!

i promised myself not to miss a single day, so i will do absolutely whatever it takes to finish these, even it it means typing on mobile or writing these on paper. …and maybe the occasional late posting because of 1. the above and 2. procrastination. or maybe it's just my horrible memory ;w;

1. summer school started today! the workload is certainly working up to be quite a bit ahaha but at least i can get through school faster this way while getting words :0

2. a blahaj was spotted active in the swc main cabin

3. cubeupload came back up!! aka i can actually upload the new signatures now :00
