Origami
Post Origami that you made onto this thread! You can do one of four things to post images:
1: Take a photo with a camera and upload it to a scratch project, which you can share by putting the link in a forum post (this is the one I personally use and recommend);
2: Embed a photo in your post using one of Scratch's supported platforms;
3: Link a PDF in a post;
4: Or use the Scratch Youtube Player to show your or another's YouTube videos.
Edit: History of Origami:
In early China, paper folding was founded as a ceremonial tradition, where living sons and daughters of the deceased folded ornate paper gold ingots (元宝) in abundant quantities. When said ingots were burned during certain days of the year, the people believed that the smoke would rise up and rematerialize as the objects they represented in heaven, which would aid the dead in enjoying their temporary afterlife. As paper folding grew in popularity across China, it spread its influence across Japan, where it got its most popular name: Ori-kami (Literally Crease-paper in Japanese, the k turns into a g in order to suit the English language). Soon, the use of origami branched out of just religious ceremonies and into recreation and play, and now, here we are! Enjoying origami across the world, the barriers of distance obliterated!
Edit #2: Origami Studio:
Join the only active Origami studio in all of Scratch! Just ask to become a curator!
Edit #3: Yoshizawa-Randlett System
:
This Project is a Facsimile of the Yoshizawa-Randlett System, which is the most common form of origami notation in Diagrams. Use this when making diagram tutorials.
Goal of the Month: Post photos of you doing petal folds on this thread!
Happy Folding, Everyone!

Bump+invented my first bp/cp model!
Manta ray:

<<again, i can't show a picture bc my driver is dead =P>>
edit for information: folded using 16x16 grid. for reference, the first pleat fold from the unfolded 2x2 square follows the base for the hydrangea, then flip over and do the other folds.
