A Collaboration Button On Scratch Projects.

So I think collaboration is a really cool aspect of any project, especially ones that you are making with friends and others. I think Scratch should implement like a little Collaboration button on unshared and shared projects that opens a little tab where you can invite other scratchers to come help on your projects, and the scratchers you invite get a message saying something like "(Insert Username) would like to invite you to collaborate with them on (Insert Project Name). There will be an Accept and Decline button. If you press Accept, you get taken to that project so you can see the progress and you can help work on it. The creator of the project will have the power to give you either an Editor or Viewer tag, and if you're an Editor, you can make changes to the project, while if you're a Viewer, you can simply just look and see what the project already has and give comments on it. And when you decline it, you can send a little message explaining why you cannot accept the offer.

Voice Actors, Animators, Developers, and others could provide additional help inside of the project rather then have to do everything off and on.

This feature could allow for many good things.

1: It makes collaboration easier so people won't have to always manually click onto another project just to add in other aspects.
2: It would make animation projects more nice so you don't have to message others to record lines, animate it, or anything like that.
3: It adds flexibility to things like games, app-like projects, and more.
4: You can have fun with your friends.

I think the only downside could be people messing up things in the project, which could cause issues and prevaricated actions, so you could also implement a little Audit Log to see who did what at what time during collaboration projects.

This feature would make collaboration so much more easier and exciting, as it allows hard work to be put in without having to do so much extra stuff!

And this would encourage collaboration more because people will know they're not doing it alone.

Of course, you don't have to accept this and you can reject it if you'd like, but feel free to lemme know what you think.

A Collaboration Button On Scratch Projects.

Sadly, rejected as per TOLORS.

TOLORS wrote:

2.1 Adding users to work on projects
Having multiple Scratchers work on the same project would be difficult to moderate not only due to technological limitations but also because it could lead to private messaging; for more information, see #7.1 on this list. This suggestion includes live editing (similar to Google Docs) and other forms of private collaboration. If you would like to work on a project with another Scratcher, you can remix each others' projects.

At the moment, a turn-based collaboration system for shared projects is NOT rejected. You can discuss it on this topic.
