How Do I Make a Rectangle Rotate From It's Center?

So I am making a project where I need a rectangle to spin from it's center. But it rotates from the top left corner. Is there a way to fix this?

Check your costume center (In the paint editor, near the top, there should be a little + button. Click that, and click the center of the rectangle.

I also need two girl sprites to rotate with the rectangle like this:

__________________________
G G l
G G l
G G l
__________________________l

and then be

_______________
GGG l
l
GGG l
_______________ The G's are the girl sprites but the girls heads should always be facing the top of the rectangle

I'm not really getting the rotation part of this all… Do you mean that you need the girls' heads to rotate with them, but stay pointing the top of the rectangle? Is that all?

Obviously, I'm not reading your post well, so if you feel that I'm not understanding you, then feel free to try again. ;)

Okay, I'm not describing it well. So the rectangle rotates like a wheel. if there were a person shaped sticker on the wheel, the sticker would stay pointing at the same spot on the wheel. I need to know how to do the sticker thing i just described.

I think i get it- if you want the girls to “rotate” but stay upright, you won't be using rotate at all. Instead, their x and y coordinates need to be changed so they look like they go in a circular path that follows the edge of the rectangle. Thus, I present you with this: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/11489553/

That's just math; you might learn it soon (in 7th - 10th grade). If you'd like to know more, just ask, but for now, just know that it's figuring out where Anna should go.

By the way, nice quotes in your signature!

Dangit! One grade behind… But I did some experiments, and I think I found a selection that will accomplish what I want to accomplish. I can't tell you. It's for a contest.

And thanks for the quote-compliment!
