Where do the Music Loops Come From? [UPDATED]

This is a thread dedicated to finding the original sources and where applicable, full versions of the loops in the Scratch music library. Huge thanks to everyone who helped out at the original thread but since the OP is inactive, most of the posts tend to be people restating knowledge we already know, so I thought it would be better to have a new thread with all the info in the topic post.

FAQ
Why are there so many loops by Beau Silver, and where did the extended versions come from?
Beau Silver is the brother of the former Scratch Team member Jay Silver who seems to have been in charge of sourcing music loops for Scratch 1.4. He was contacted by djdolphin and provided the missing extended cuts.
Did Androit write the Dance tracks?
There was a video on YouTube Music by an artist called Androit that consisted of all of the “Dance” tracks stitched together. There was some debate as to whether they were the original artist or were just falsely claiming the tracks for themselves, which often happens with stock music. The video has since been taken down with no copyright information provided.
What happened to the original Techno tracks?
gloob(ic) was a group of two MIT students, Jeff Lieberman and Eric Gunther. Scratch's Techno loops were both sampled from their album mass ave sessions. However, these are actually mixes of snippets taken from various live performances. The original audios used to be available at a MIT media domain but no longer exist.
What are the hex codes and do they mean anything?
Some nonsensical hex codes were found in the metadata of certain loops from Scratch 1.4, as well as in the previously mysterious “Cave (extended)” file. They likely have to do with iTunes's “Sound Check” feature. The most notable thing about them is that the first part of the hex code in “Cave (extended)” matches the hex code in “Cave”, which gave a pretty convincing argument for it being the official full version before a source was confirmed.
Is there anything useful in the metadata?
Some of them do have useful info in the metadata! This post goes into more detail about what was found.
Who is Connor?
In this video update, it's mentioned that the Dance tracks were made by a student in Boston named Connor. It's likely that he was a part of the Progressive Arts Alliance, which teamed up with Scratch to add Dance sprites.

Oh, I'm sorry! I asked about it yesterday on the original thread and nobody seemed opposed to my making this, so I did. If I'd known that you wanted to make it I would have let you do it!
That said, now that it's made, it seems a bit redundant to make another one –– is there anything you think I should change in my topic post though?

The original versions of pralax and gyrow are both available on Internet Archive here.

The description reads:
Tracks 1-16 are a continuous mix of excerpts from rehearsals and performances over the past year.
These appear to be the mixed versions again.

If you like, maybe you could make a thread for sourcing the sound effects from another category? I don't believe there's any organized effort for tracing those at the moment.

No offense, but we might be derailing a little bit right now…

There was another topic for finding the other sound effects but we kinda forgot about it.

Oh! Yeah, I forgot about that

Oh! That's very interesting, I thought it was down too!

Edit: I looked through the early comments on the project to see if anybody asked about the music. A few people did, but there was no response.

Where do the Music Loops Come From? [UPDATED]

HUGE BIG EXCITING NEWS GUYS!!!!
I did some asking around and I found the origin of “Cave (extended)”!!!

Jeffalo wrote:

NO IDEA, who isthistaken123 is, but i hope this helps your search: https://servilla.org/files/Sounds_of_Scratch_1.4.zip (a friend of mine contacted the original artist and compiled a ‘mixtape’ of some of the missing extended cuts)

Also a clarification of why the emoji project was “missing” for so long:

also, while i TOTALLY HAVE NO CLUE who isthistaken123 is, i know that the account was banned and put in a state where all the projects were hidden a while ago. last year when i was on the scratch team i found a bug that let regular users ban/unban people, and i unbanned that account and banned it again, but we set it into the wrong state, so it’s now banned with projects visible. happy accident.
still…. no affiliation with any isthistaken123… never heard that name in my life…

Yep!!! I'm listening to them all right now and updating the topic post

Edit: Okay, it's updated!! I've also separated the loops by version, to make it less messy.
