Semi-Support, it if it blocks out stuff like social media, then Full Support.

So you suggest to allow users posting comments even if they’re inappropriate? By doing this it would be much faster and easier to bypass the filter, and not to mention that some word, even censored, can be recognized

No!! If you post a comment with the bad words, you will be muted and then mark bad words as red!

So the comment wouldn’t be posted?

Support. If the filter falsely blocks you, then you know what it was.

Sometimes, a child might write inappropriate words by accident, and highlighting it will just teach them the bad word.

Ok? That makes them learn that the bad word is bad.

Many users on Scratch are young. Do we really want them learning that a word is bad? Many people do say that it would deter them from saying it, but there's still others who may think, “Wow, a cool new word to use in x place!”

Additionally, this suggestion is a duplicate. Essentially, this means that somebody already suggested something that's similar to yours. It's helpful, for organization purposes, to keep everything in one forum topic. You can still share your opinions on this suggestion there!

I agree, it is better to not show which word is bad.
Also not showing the innaprioprate word “####” people will be less angry about incorrect word markings.

The fun fact is that I suggested this and it got rejected.

I believe you are correct. Suggestions to make it more clear what the filter is triggering on have been consistently rejected in the past.
