Lots of creators on the platform love sprunki, I am one of them. When I got the no sprunki message I was broken. You should make it so your acount has to be older the 2 months and you get a heads up about the gore. Please add back sprunki, every one will be happy.

This is for questions about scratch, not suggestions. If you wanted to ask about sprunki there’s a suggestion forum. However scratch team has already made a decision on it and I wouldn’t really try to argue with it.

Sprunki is a pretty gorey game and Scratch isn't the place for those types of games. The decision was final, no Sprunki projects on Scratch. Even if you do put a warning, it won't help because the guidelines strictly prohibit any type of gore in a project.

The problem here is that any 9 year old could have a 2 month old account and a heads-up wouldn't necessarily stop them.
Some people liking it has no bearing as to how safe it is for kids to watch. I've seen it and can agree it isn't particularly scary, but I can see why a 9 year old would be frightened by it.

Couldn't they, at the very least, announce this?
This looks like it could blindside a ton of people.

The Scratch Team doesn't need to give people posting gore a heads up. They are already in violation of the terms of service they had to agree to in order to make an account. Even if you didn't read those, “don't post gore on the site for children” should be obvious to literally anyone.

I mean the Sprunki fans who DON'T post about the violent phase 2?Couldn't they, at the very least, announce this?

It seems very likely that Sprunki is blanket banned, or will be blanket banned soon. This means that Sprunki fans could suffer penalties, even if they don't focus on the game's more violent aspects(yes, that is ABSOLUTELY possible) and otherwise obey the CGs.
I saw this coming, because I frequent the forums, but my friends(some of which also post abotu Sprunki, the projects themselves are also mundane) don't frequent the forums, and I had to warn them. Having an official announcement could help some (CG-abiding)Sprunki fans adjust to this.

If the Scratch Team says it’s final, then it’s final. They aren’t going to change their mind on a decision for mature rated content or games. Sprunki, while made to look innocent at first, turns into a dark and gorey game with a gloomy and dark atmosphere. It’s a game that was not meant to be played by or for young kids at young ages. If a child at such a young age accidentally clicks on projects with such context then get greeted with blood and gore, they’ll regret even once opening said project.
If you were a parent and if you had a kid, would you allow your child at a young age where they are vulnerable and helpless, exposed to mature or play violent games and content? I sure as heck wouldn’t. That would be irresponsible and not the best thing to do.
This is something that I wouldn’t want for a website like this.

Adding on to this, I would assume if your parents saw that you were making or watching sprunki for entertainment… would they want their kid watching that stuff? Even ignoring the brainrot part, it’s still gore, which can be traumatizing to kids. It’s not even funny anymore. They can have nightmares and forever be haunted.
