Yea, that is a good idea to have but…I think it is going to be a lot of work for ST

that probably won't happen and some of them have already been suggested e.g. custom reporters

Turbowarp's extensions are very nice and I wish most os them were in Scratch. But if you can import custom extensions, you can also make viruses or download files on the player's device without permission.

No support. Certains extensions can add dangerous or rejected blocks

I'm concerned about how extensions that introduce new blocks would be translated to people without the extension seeing the project.

Really cool block

Let this block be part of a custom extension “Totally Awesome Extension.” This Really cool block has a functionality like no other scratch block.
Now let's say a scratcher without the Totally Awesome Extension visits and plays the project. How would the Really cool block be translated to the scratcher, if at all? Would it break the project?

Can you give more information about this. What does “import” mean? Are we bringing over all the features from the extensions to Scratch? Because there is no way the scratch team does that. Or just people who have the extension get it in the regular Scratch? A lot of features in extensions are rejected suggestions.

I think they're talking about the turbowarp feature where you can use Javascript to import custom extensions

Extensions can be sandboxed, which puts a ton of restrictions on them. If they're sandboxed I support but if they aren't then I agree that this shouldn't be added.

Scratch projects has a limit of the amount of data that can be in a project until it can't be shared. Adding this feature will probably make some extensions too much for scratch. Scratch is a non-profit, I don't know. No support.
