15x15 is the standard size for Forumoji. It lines up well with text, and is consistent with the smileys that are already included with DjangoBB.
Having every emoji be the same size also ensures a degree of consistency in how different emojis look.

That being said, there are some emojis that are non-standard sizes, but none of them are 18x18.

Glass of Milk (U+1F95B) - 14x15
Peanuts (U+1F95C) - 14x14
Bacon (U+1F953) - 16x14
Toilet (U+1F6BD) - 13x14
Fork and Knife (U+1F374) - 12x15
Vertical Traffic Light (U+1F6A6) - 15x14

These likely slipped under the radar because they are very close to 15x15 pixels. Ideally, we should tweak these to match the rest.

I'm especially unsure about the Peanut - I had a bit of trouble retaining the checkerboard pattern.

=> Bacon (U+1F953)
=> Toilet (U+1F6BD)
=> Fork and Knife (U+1F374)

you could have just kept the visible part the same size but added a few invisible pixels of “padding” around the edges

Those look pretty good! There are just a few tweaks I'd like to propose.

Peanuts

You actually did a really good job retaining the checkerboard pattern from the original. The only thing I changed is a single pixel that was the wrong shade of brown.

Bacon

This one looked a little sharp in the bottom-right corner, so I tried to give it a bit of a slant similar to the original version.

Vertical Traffic Light

I felt like the extra space at the bottom made the emoji feel a little unbalanced. This version makes each light 3x3 pixels with 1 pixel in between, and shades the corners to make them look rounder.

(Scratch's filter doesn't seem to like the codepoints so I had to leave them out)

I've created an updated version of the “Forumoji Now!” button:

The old one used outdated emoji designs, and was also 88x32, so it wouldn't line up with other 88x31 buttons.

Well, it's not technically official. I've been maintaining it for a while now because the website is falling behind with updates.

The idea is that, whenever the website does get updated, it's much quicker to just copy everything over from the waitlist rather than manually adding every single emoji.

(the button contents move down and to the right with the shadows) You can take mine and update the emojis in it if you'd like! Or maybe find a way to combine the designs because yours also fixes other things.

Edit: what other 88x31 buttons are there? Also, +1 for the bubbles with better shading! Maybe also ask the original creator of the first bubble design.
