Scratch Moderation

I think that Scratch moderation is bad.

Reasons:
1. Scratch doesn't check to make sure the reported projects are okay or bad, they take down the project just because somebody reported the project. Here's an example: Someone made a FNAF game player project on Scratch, somebody reports it for being too scary but in reality, it's not that scary. Because the creator of that project put a warning saying “do not play if you're under 12”. This shows that Scratch takes down projects based on people's opinions, not the project itself.

2. Scratch filters literally everything you say on this website. Like for example, I said a website in a Scratch comment once and it muted me for 15 minutes (like I wasn't even trying to say anything inappropriate. ) This is because Scratch thinks that saying that website or any other social media app is “personal information”.

Be safe out there!

1. The ST are rating projects if FE or NFE or taken down.
Because many projects are shared in a day, the ST can only rate a very few of them.
Report the project silently. Use contact us if the situation is too serious, link is here https://scratch.mit.edu/contact-us/

2. Because the chat in the websites and social media apps have unmoderated chat, meaning people can say innapropriate stuff.

Be grateful (no pun intended) that you are using a website with moderation so much better than any other website, like Roblox, or that other blue quiz thing that starts with a B.

I've heard many times that Roblox's moderation is absolutely broken. Their report button does nothing, I know that because whenever I report something it doesn't even get taken down within a few days after the report has been sent, their AI moderation is also broken because most of the time they take down the first things they see on the marketplace, and their support is just painfully bad - if you post content on Roblox that gets falsely taken down, the support wouldn't even try to re-review the falsely taken down item.

The reason why the FNAF project you were talking about in your post got taken down is because FNAF is NFE (Not For Everyone) and is scary for younger users on the platform. Just because you don't find something scary doesn't mean somebody else wouldn't, too.

For your second point, although you may think that, be grateful again that you're not on Roblox right now, as their filter is pretty bad at filtering things. I heard you cannot mention any usernames or websites on Roblox, which I myself find that pretty dumb. On Scratch, you can do the things I mentioned that you can't on Roblox, as long as the website follows Scratch's community guidelines. The reason why you got muted for posting a link to a website is because it probably lead to a chatting site.
