Yume paces around the tent, temporarily transformed into a recording studio of sorts, holding up her notebook in one hand and gripping an IKEA pencil in the other. She lifts the tiny pencil to her chin, seemingly thinking about something but just can’t quite grasp what it was.

“Yume, you aren’t thinking of changing the script again, are you?”

“Huh-?” The brown-haired girl turned around, jolted by the sudden call. “Oh, uh… I’m indecisive, okay? I just want this to go well, but I don’t know if what I have is good enough…”

Sooeun chuckled. “Well, aren’t we all guilty of indecisiveness at times?” She held out a small clip-on microphone. “Here, they got your mic ready.”

“Ah, thanks,” Yume carefully took the small microphone and clipped it to the rim of her shirt. “Testing, testing, one two three. Wandahoi…? Wan-” A loud, low echo fills the tent, and a few people, Yume included, cover their ears.

Blau let out a sigh. “It’s a good thing we’re testing everything in advance, I swear this happens every time. Almost.”

“Yeah… The mics in the Script Podcast sure didn’t like us,” Yume added, recalling what had happened a few months prior. “It’s just hard to believe that it’s already been so long.” Blau nodded in response, but didn’t continue.

“Script… Podcast?” Potang asked, confused, “What is th-” Blau gave him a half-hostile, half-mocking glance. “Oh, right. My bad-” He put his headphones over his ears and went back to checking on the audio settings, making sure everything was in place for the recording, while Emu was peering curiously from behind him.

Meanwhile, Summer was giving everyone lip oil touchups, although most weren’t too happy about even the little bit of makeup. “It’ll look better on camera,” she reassured, while Yume was trying to stifle laughter from the fluffy brush against her still slightly chapped lips. Summer giggled. “Yume, stop moving!”

“Yume, they’re ready for you,” Rui informed, motioning over to the small filming area they had set up earlier that day. Nodding, Yume made her way over to the camera, her stomach tightening up with every step.

“Just pretend we aren’t there,” Blau suggested, giving her a slight wink.

“That’s a lot easier said than done-” Yume tried to protest, but the sight of all her friends did help to put her at ease, at least a bit.

Emu, for one, was very excitedly counting down. “We’re starting in THREE! TWO!… WAAN-DAHOII~~!”

Konnichiwandahoi~! (Yes, I’m using the PJSK greeting, ahaha-) For those who don’t already know, I’m Yume, or also commonly known as yumetopia. I’m an avid SWC-er, as well as an amateur writer, songwriter, artist, and graphic designer. And as of recently, one of the founders of the one and only Chaos Carnival! I also serve as (Her Majesty) Blau’s bishop, Sooeun’s (very clumsy :,D) assistant, Perfaith City’s chemist, WonderlandsxShowtime’s sixth member, and the unofficially acclaimed PJSK influencer of SWC, according to a few.

I first came across SWC back in March 2020. Five years ago? That’s CRaZY :0 However, I didn’t actually sign up until March 2021, in which I camped in my first-ever session in the Mythology cabin! Myth has a very special place in my heart up until this day, and that would be the reason behind it. I worked at the Poetry Coffeehouse of March 2023 for my second, and ‘hyper chaotic chronically active hardcore camper’ session (…I’m sure we all have at least one of those xD), which was then followed by being under the Dystopian Spy Society of July 2023. November of that year, during my fourth session, was when I led my first cabin, Fairy Tale Academy, with Sophie and Sarah! I admittedly had my Star Showers WCG thumbnail as my desktop wallpaper from then up until like- A week ago, when I finally changed it- The memories from that session though, I’ll seriously never forget <3

I spent my fifth SWC session in the Epistolary Letter Terminal leading with Silky and Nat, where I was in charge of the Reception Desk. After that would be co-hosting the (high pressure washing machine) Script Podcast alongside Luka, Maia, and Blau, who I shared arguably my favorite WCG to ever exist, the Wonder Studio, with! November 2023 brought the Sci-Fi time machine (that keeps coming to and back in time…) and our chaotic SWC travels with Mildred and Livy. This session is my eighth, and I’m seriously so grateful to be able to be leading Dystopian here with Zy and Sarah, both very influential people in my SWC journey. As it goes for every other session- I just know this one will be amazing, and I can’t wait to make memories with you all! ^^

I figured I never actually put this in any of my 1k intros, but here’s some name etymology(-ish) (since Yume is very PJSK-brainrotted!! ;v; ) The ‘full’ name I go by online (the S-pop people in here know xD) is Furihata Yume. The last name ‘Furihata’ was taken from Furihata Ai, who is the voice actress of Momoi Airi from PJSK ^^ The name ‘Yume’ had a longer history, in which I had first heard it from fripSide’s song only my railgun, from this one song pirating rhythm game (Yume has very deep rhythm game roots shksfka-) and decided it was a very pretty word with an equally pretty if not more meaning, since it’s the Japanese word for ‘dream’. And Yume has been associated with dreams ever since(, if that wasn’t already extremely obvious based off of my many leader apps ahaha xD).

And just before we end it off, since I think I might have completely missed the point of these intros (whoops- ^^;; ), I should probably share a few basic facts about myself- my MBTI type is INFJ-T, as of last time I took the test (which was like- last semester? xD), I am not homeschooled, unlike (at least I think, around) half of SWC’s population, and As for obscure facts, I have an unhealthy obsession with furikake (I put it on almost everything!! Literally the perfect cure for all bland and disliked food ^^), my least favorite font is Comic Sans while my favorite is Yusei Magic, one of my most cherished pastimes is hauling IKEA pencils, and I recently found that the standard mouse pointer is 45 degrees and I feel as if my life is fulfilled!! xD And as for some random favorites, because we all love those- my favorite shape is a triangle (and I’ve been associated with the instrument triangle), for drinks I love jasmine green tea (bonus points for crystal pearls :0) or soybean milk, my favorite dessert is tangerine jelly, my favorite food is yakisoba, my favorite producer is iyowa, favorite K-pop groups are IZ*ONE and Loossemble (my biases are Chaewon and Vivi, as well as Tsuki from Billlie!), favorite PJSK unit is tied between MORE MORE JUMP! and WonderlandsxShowtime, with my favorite characters being Airi, Rui, and Nene, and my favorite way to sprint words is to have friendly, no point word wars with the rest of Chaos Carnival, which you should totally visit when it opens!

Alright, I think that would be it for today, I honestly don’t remember my highest record for a 1k intro but I do have around 79% confidence I’ve beat it by now bahaha. Either way, thank you for coming along yet another Yume 1k intro attempt (ieii!! tangerine jelly for you if you’ve made it all the way here hehe ^^), and I hope to see you around camp sometime (even though for now I’m pretty much just stuck yutalking! …it’s ‘Yume’ + ‘stalking’ if you were wondering ahaha)! “…Best wishes, Yume.” The brown-haired girl let out a small sigh of relief. “There, that should do it.”

Yume set down her quill, and proceeded to carefully fold up the letter and slide it into a fresh envelope from the stack next to her. “It’s been a while since I’ve written one of these- I completely forgot how nice it was.” She pulled open a drawer to find a small drawstring bag, the cloth faded from a once vibrant green to a dusty, sagey color, and the ropes frayed from being pulled on one too many times. She reached into the bag for a few pieces of dried carrot, getting up from where she was sitting to set them on the windowsill. “And now we wait…”

A few minutes later, a pure white dove swept down to where the food was, pecking at it and enjoying the meal. The bird gave a small chirp, as if to signal whoever was waiting that they’ve arrived. It seemed to have worked, as Yume, who had just finished sealing up the letter, turned to the window and saw her bird companion, waiting for further instructions.

“Divela! Oh, I’ve missed you,” a flap of wings indicated that the statement was returned. Envelope in hand, she made her way over to the windowsill. Divela had a pretty particular taste in food- No other bird at the letter terminal required the extensive meal of freeze-dried carrots, but Yume was happy to provide them with whatever it was the satisfied the birds’ diets. “Here,” she said, holding out the envelope for Divela to take in her beak, “Help me deliver this.” The bird obliged, taking the letter and once again setting off into the sky.

Yume sighed. If times weren’t what they were, she wouldn’t have had to send that letter, but it just so happened that she was trapped inside the hospital of an uncannily… ‘perfect’ city, forced to take on the role of a chemist as they try to figure a way out while keeping their souls. And the dream she had last night… at the very least, it created the cheap illusion of reassurance, but other than that, a dream was just that- a dream. “…Something I can’t have, at least not at the moment.” Surely, sending a letter to the one person who gets her heart racing would help ease all her problems- he was the Alchemist, after all. At least, that’s what she hoped.

hello, wonderful campers of the scratch writing camp!! my name is yume, and today i’m sharing with you all this new and ingenious product design, namingly the ‘CATCHAIR’!! please excuse the no capitalizations- i will capitalize when accentuation is needed, as seen above. and no, before you go all out about how hair catchers for standing showers already exist and have probably existed before i even have, this product indeed has nothing to do with hair, or the catching of hair (or air). i myself am a victim (and guilty) of mistleading name combination, so before we confuse ourselves any further, let me introduce you to the… CAT-CHAIR!!

this chair, i guarantee, is one of the best chairs out there in the market. you see, not all of us are at the status in society to have a cat. and we all do need a coping mechanism, whether it’s watching tear-jerking movies on cats or buying tens of thousands of cat plushies to satisfy your cravings (and i can tell you with full confidence, you’re not alone… only yume is extremely broke, and therefore cannot physically do either of the two above mentioned things. i can’t even buy myself a mouse, as i have learned today.) HOWEVER!! all of that is about to change, because this CAT-CHAIR is a one-stop shop for all of your cat lover needs. with ultra soft synthetic fur that has been laboratory tested based off 314159 labs all around the galaxWC (including by Peeles himself!!), we can guarantee an extremely heartmelting experience that does not involve the harming of any cats through the manufacturing process. what’s even better- this fur is so technologically advanced that it doesn’t catch hair- it does the opposite! hair doesn’t stick to the chair at all- the chair’s texture allows it to repel all human, cat, and other animal hairs.

as the name suggests, the chair is based off a cat, and therefore has cat ears on the back panel of the comfy moon and beanbag chair hybrid. with the base structure of a moon chair and the volume of a beanbag chair attached over it, you wouldn’t need to worry about aesthetics as this chair is a perfect seamless fit into any space- it looks like a lumped ball of fluff with ears and a tail coming out of it, ultra soft and fuzzy with colors and patterns made to look just enough like a real cat that it also doesn’t look like you’re sitting on a giant cat. so, SWC-ers, what are you waiting for? embrace your inner (SW)Cat-Lover (aka your inner Momoi Airi, because we all have one of those, right?) and indulge in the experience of a Wonderful Cat’s Life, without having to purchase Cat Food or dealing with allergies at all. and with all those formalities aside- BUY YOUR VERY OWN CATCHAIR TODAY!!!

after all, of course- what kind of camp are we, if a secret cabin didn’t exist? last session saw the crazy chaos of- well, the leadercabin, and then the camper cbin, following a certain strike of the polar bears, previously knowns as the daily team, to go on strike for absolutely no reason other than being overworked and a lack of lasagna. that sure didn’t end well for anyone. well. the cabin of mangoes- where’d that even come from, anyways? us swc-ers love mangoes- probably an unhealthy amount, even. we go crazy over one fruit, collectively, and it’s even claimed and famed to have the wonderful properties of motivating anyone and everyone to complete their dailies and weeklies. serving us campers isn’t all that fun for them, as it appears, and honestly, who can blame them? when all you’re doing is being eaten, given, thrown around, used as arson tools… clearly, mangoes have sanity and feelings as well, and their souls seem still perfectly intact enough to start a cabin of their own and join in the rebellion. with the combined motivational power of all of theose mangoes, clearly they’re in the running to win the entire session, isn’t it? but- where did they even set themselves up? how- how many sessions have we been going without knowing of their existence, or rather, how long exactly have they been planning, plotting, and devising their every move planning to take the entire rest of camp down in such a manner? we’re all doomed now, aren’t we… is there a way out? guys, do your dailies and weeklies!! we need to overtake the cabin of mangoes! don’t let the mangoes take camp away from us entirely, this is our camp and we shall not let a fruit

hello! welcome to another episode of yume absolutely rambles it out, except i think this is honestly the longest one i’ve ever done. And to keep it fair, since, well- my opponent’s already done, and I honestly think it wouldn’t be if it weren’t for me to follow the same set of rules, I’ll have my caps on. I’ll try, okay? like- I will probably miss sme over, but I guarantee you I’ll be pressing that shift button when I need to. And no, I don’t know what to ramble on either. More like- I didn’t, but now I do, cause I just had the idea to, well, do another yume leader app ramble session. And I reassure you, I’ve had like- five hundred of these before, and I didn’t count them all since there’s just way too much to count. Alright, I’m not making sense. Let’s just get into it before I forget (and before yume gets hungry… i have a bag of crispy snacks next to me right now and the temptation is strong to just go grab one every minute or so although that would literally bother my word count but a lot so i probably shouldn;t do that, right? spelling doesn’t exist here anyways bahaha i literally cannot think up a better way to write for 30 minutes non stop besides ranting, there probably is but i don’t have the knowledge and wisdom as of right now so i’ll probably be doing a lot more of these as the session goes. watch my arms be absolutely sore by the end of this)

My first leader app was named The Awakening, with the theme of spring dawning on the earth and the animals needing to be awoken from the slumber of hibernation. Honestly, it’s definitely not a bad concept, but I also just think it’s a bit generic for what it is. All the art (graphics, more like), were done on the editor, and the gradients genuinely do not please my eyes as they don’t match with the slides one bit in terms of not just the gradients but the color scheme in general just doesn’t even match. Though, to be fair, that was like what- two years ago? That- seems like a very long time, ahaha- I made that one for the July session, after March 2023’s poetry pulled me into swc again and i never came back out. like seriously. Never. I’m still here and I- am writing for 30 minutes nonstop as of right now for the camp and my word goal. Anyways, i’m straying off topic again and my shifts are disappearing so I will go back to the topic I was on!! For the time I made it, it’s honestly not bad, I just felt like the execution was a little lacking for the idea I had. And my gosh, was that one extremely hard to incorporate into a later app where I referenced like every other app I made in the past up until that point. More on that later. (and yume needs another snack so that i will get.)

My next app was arguably like- the most generic app I had ever made up until this point, and I’m pretty sure there’s been at least five other instances of something similar if not the same, but just not during the two or three recent sessions I referenced to make sure my app wasn’t too repetitive, if it were repetitive at all since honestly, back then there were so many apps each sessions that theme clashes were extremely common unless you actually had a crazy innovative idea. Anyways- That set of slides and everything were’n’t all too special or anything, and the code was minimal (as per Yume usual, as I cannot for the life of me code! anything at all except perhaps a transition here and there but that’s about it ahaha) The most standout thing about that app is probably the short timeframe I even had to create it- I started off wayy too late as the transition into high school literally stripped my memory of SWC’s existence until like- the 10th or even later (it was after my birthday, i remember that part-) (also i think this is like the third war i’ve mentioned something about yumemory being nonexistent wow-) the craziest part was arguably how i had even gotten accepted that session- genuinely did not expect that one, of all apps, to be the one that got me to lead my first cabin? By all means though, that session was nothing short of amazing and I wouldn’t trade it out for anything else… maybe a better app theme though.

My next app was finally getting to be more, well, how do I put it- ‘Yume-coded’. there’s this thing about people being able to tell whether i had made something in comparison to others, apparently- After all, I do realise I use the ‘Yumaximalist’ style a lot (that’s what I call it aha-), which basically involves glow text or the shadow effect or the outline, either of the three, on something that has like five million different layers of glitter and other blur and random effects, just elements over elements and there being like thirty on a slide and practically breaking my canva and nearly causing my entire computer to crash like three times. that wasn’t until later though, Yume App #3 was honestly fine. still a bit more on the simpler side, with the theme being ‘Sekai’, which was basically referencing the ‘SEKAI’ in ‘Project SEKAI: Colorful Stage!’, my favorite game at the time and probably still my favorite rhythm game and game to date. the theming wasn’t anything too specific, just the five SEKAIs, worlds, that eventually led to the answers. Downloaded six separate songs for that app, and that’s probably still upon the earliest shared apps I’ve ever made, the others were mainly shared like 2 days within the deadline but if I remember right Sekai was actually quite early in comparison. Either way, that session brought Epistolary, and I can probably rant for another entire half an hour just on that cabin, so I’ll save that topic for next time so I can do just that.

After Sekai came the ‘Yume went absolutely crazy with her leader apps’ part of my SWC journey. The Key to our Dreams, also nicknamed Yume no Kagi (or YnK for my purposes, since typing out either of those earlier names isn’t always the most convenient thing to do when it doesn’t count for words in any context. anyways.) Alright, that was a well-deserved break because my fingers were just not serving after what I had endured for the past like- 18 minutes or so. Anyways! moving on!! (that was the name of my math project from grade 8, help-) Continuing with Yume no Kagi, that app I actually went through like wayy too much irl and that ultimately spilled all the way into my app, the answers and everything else and gosh that one was emotional alright. Like, when I actually got to sharing that app I was on the brink of tears. The song I based it off, Momoiro no Kagi (the peachy key in the english translation), was almost perfectly describing my exact situation and I genuinely could not have gone through what I did if it weren’t for that song. I didn’t get accepted that session, which I will admit got me a bit upset, with the amount of effort I put into the app, but I do know that those slides (especially the The Awakening set, that was literally taking my sanity away with every glance I take at them) were seriously not it, but I genuinely cannot stress enough how much I love the concept of that app with all my heart. My first official step into making Yume apps what they now are, Yume apps. xD That- Probably didn’t make sense! Yeah, Yume apps have lore. Kind of. If you look close enough, maybe? And even if not, there are actual storyline elements in some of them, including the app right after this one.

Dreamlike Journey was probably one of my biggest regrets of a leader app in terms of the execution. I had a really great idea, just not enough time to put it into action. However, that concept and theme, also, has a very special place in my heart. I referenced the PJSK event layout for the menu, and adapted a similar visual novel style for the slides before the actual answers. Very high-effort in terms of a yume app, and I really wasn’t able to pull everything together the way I had first envisioned it. Still, that concept- I cannot stress it enough, seriously. And I’m rambling again, fun~ Isn’t that what this is though-? (yume, come on, power through, you can do this-) AAAAHH. Dreamlike Journey was meant to be a continuation to the Key to our Dreams app, since that one involved going through five separate doors to past apps and cabins I’ve created and led respectively. DJ focused on specific moments in time rather than that, including mentions of the ‘butterfly effect’ and how one small action would change the course of events across a longer period of time, although I never got to that part of the story in the actual app. The overall theming of the app was also very close to YnK, and pretty much just looked like a part 2, which was what it was meant to as the DJ story was based off collecting keys from those certain points of time, that would eventually lead to…more doors, maybe? I’m not teasing anything, am I…? (genuinely don’t even know what I’m doing at this point, help-) One of the keys though, in DJ, was the ‘Key of Resilience’, which ties into my next and most recent leader app, which was the 9 skills of resilience app! Part 1: Language and Culture - 372 words

Wide, expansive grasslands cover the seemingly endless lands of Rabbithole. Thick and lucious forests surround the quaint villages scattered along the sides of various lakes. Plants of every color decorate the expanse, and even the clouds are of different colors, a scene that looks like it came straight out of Wonderland. However, there is no known way to exit Rabbithole. All that manage to enter never leave

The people of Rabbithole don’t look too far off from us humans, and some even believe that their population had sprung from a few wanderers who came from our world. As the name suggests, however, they do have have one distinction- their fluffed rabbit ears emerging from the top of their heads. These ears don’t exactly serve a known purpose, but all the inhabitants have grown to get used to living with them either way.

It is said, according to the myths and legends, that the language of Rabbithole is a long-lost treasure. As of this day, no citizen within the entire realm remembers its existence. The truth is, no Rabbith can speak. Not anymore, at the very least. The art of language and speech had dissipated through centuries, and now communication takes place only through the medium of reading and writing. Scrolls of letters are very common, as are wax seals, one of their most prized possessions. Often times, you’d find one open their mouth and say nothing. The stories passed down from generations back tell us of a terrible incident that happened,

I don’t quite know where to start- Today was amazing in every possible way, perhaps mostly because all those days of hard work and sweat seemed now, more than ever, to have paid off. And I’m stalling you again, am I… I should really learn to get to the point of things, my apologies. Maybe a few more letters will help for that cause, hopefully.

The show the troupes had put on was none other than the myth of the constellation, Pegasus. I’d like to assume this is pretty given, haha, but it was our local World Future Star who suggested the idea. And of course, our director was more than keen on the idea- I mean, he’s- the director, who… makes everything work out. So, naturally, he agreed. If I’m being honest, I was really lost along the process… myths were never too prominent of a thing I looked into, if it weren’t for writing camp.

The story, part of the mythological tale of Andromeda and Perseus, goes something like this: Medusa, who was famed for her beauty (and mostly her hair), had fallen in love with Poseidon (no, not Poseidon “Sid” Icarus the gambler- the actual Poseidon, god of the sea and horses!) Their… ‘seduction’, as some call it, happened in the temple of Athena, who was enraged and decided to transform Medusa’s beautiful hair into snakes, and generally a monster whose gaze can now turn anyone who dared to cross her into stone.

When Perseus had defeated Medusa in one ‘heroic act’ of sorts, the legendary winged horse, Pegasus, sprang from where she had been cut. And that was how Pegasus was born. He then flew away from Medusa, known as the mother of Pegasus. and struck the ground of Mount Helicon, the home of the Muses. From the rock emerged a spring of water, later named Hippocrene, the ‘horse’s fountain’.

I would seriosuy never have taken a closer look at the story of such constellations if it weren’t for this, and must I say- the term ‘pegasus’ used in some contexts that I’ve been introduced to for the past few years really don’t serve it justice. Perhaps I’ll take some more time to look into these stars more from now on.

To my Grade 9 Science teacher, Ms. (we aren’t doxxing anyone here <3),

Happy International Women’s Day! I wasn’t exactly sure how I’d start this letter besides saying thank you, to everything that you’ve done for me, our class, and the school community as a whole (if this letter even manages to reach you, that is- maybe with help from the Epistolary Letter Terminal, but more on that later). Thank you for the absolute endless time and patience you’ve poured into teaching us, not just on the curriculum but to be the most enthusiastic and responsible version of ourselves. I’d hate to draw on a comparison, but I really have to say I appreciate your way of teaching us. Even with the board and school in general being so restrictive on using the same slideshows and formatting, you somehow find a way to make the class more interesting and interactive- I’m not sure what it is, but whatever it was, it made me eager to start learning every day when I first arrive to class in the morning.

Thank you for your eternal kindness and enthusiasm, whether that’d be within the classroom our outside. I really enjoyed the little stories you shared about your previous jobs working as a biologist, or even just the pictures of your adorable cat never fail to make my day. And I hope this doesn’t sound too weird, but- I absolutely approve of your taste in clothes. That would 100% be what I’d wear if I ever became a teacher, to which I’d also have to owe you for reintroducing such a possibility for me. Plus, that envelope necklace you had always reminded me of Epistolary, and I remember glancing at it during class on the days you wore it… but I was still focused during class, of course. I think my grade does show for my effort, haha.

I hope to be able to see you again sometime soon, after break, even if it’ll just be the occasional wave from the corridors since you’re (unfortunately) not teaching me this year. Once again, thank you so much for being an amazing teacher. <33
