You can entirely disregard the official lore if you want. I mean, I wrote my own lore, so no not really. I also also wrote ANOTHER lore for my character Malitent who is a Entigen from a universe that doesn't exist anymore (and now lives in the Chromaverse).
Entigens are essentially proots but they're biomechanical organisms. Their cybernetics are “natural” and specifically built to be detachable from their bodies (i.e. taking their visors off)

Something deliberately fun for me to do is imagine characters from books as furries while I'm listening to them (I listen to audio books when I go to sleep, I think it helps with my ADHD)
