Why are you CHANGING y position by y position of sprite2? You probably want to use set to, not change by although it will mean the ball will never get past the paddle.

If y position of the ball is 50 you're moving the paddle up 50 pixels every frame!

With this type of thing It would most likely be best to use a code that makes the paddle follow the mouse's Y position. This code down here should work:

when green flag clicked
forever
set y to (mouse y)
end
