What Is Your Opinion On Nowadays' Toys?

I miss old shopkins. They rebranded to Real Littles and now make shopkins based on real food brands, (it's cool but I liked the original characters better). But from what I've seen now they don't even INCLUDE shopkins and it's just makes things but tiny.
really??? i still have some shopkins in my house i thought they would continue that for a while. are they trying to appeal to an older audience?

No? But most of the ones I found are just things like mini-backpacks and stuff like that.

It's hard to find good toys that aren't plushies really. Like even I collect plushies sometimes.

Toy design and manufacturing is not a topic I'm interested in or know anything of, but I do think that advertisements for them are absolutely abysmal.

They're overstimulating and too fast. The voice overs are annoying (and they all sound like the same person to me). The toys themselves are usually pretty bad, too. I can say that at least. Overall, they're pretty dumb and unexciting. The production quality is typically ugly looking as well.

Tbh the toys nowadays are just cheap, easy to break plastic. Most toys I played with back then were moreover just animal plushies or random objects that I had.

Also, because there are now kids with iPads and the kids going to Sephora. Toys are starting to become for older people instead of what their intended audience is. Now there's collage students playing with hot wheels while the kindergardeners go and watch their daily dose of whatever they watch on

Yes, i have seen that trend. In the end, model cars will only be seen in a category of toys that entirely transferred its target audience from children to adults:

Model train sets.

looking back at it i'm pretty sure my parents expected me to grow up to be obsessed with vehicles

AND FIFTEEN YEARS LATER, I COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT TRAINS AND MY CURRENT BIGGEST HYPERFIXATION IS AN OBSCURE CANADIAN CARTOON FROM 2006 BASED ON A HOT TOPIC CLOTHING BRAND

My sibling got a toy that i think is the most useless toy ever. Its a sophia the first boombox radio toy that comes with a mic. Its only feature is that it lights up, and the radio and mic are just plastic;-; (we just donated it after knowing that lol)

True. After I got an xbox and PC with web games. Toys aren't really a thing for me anymore.

As much as I would love to play with them again, my parents would shame me from playing with toys because I am “too old” (I'm not even an adult) and I need to watch extremely violent and graphic religious videos that my parents keep sending us because I need to be TOUGH, and toys are for CHILDREN (I'm almost 14).

So, I just stick to video games, It's the only thing that's keeping me mature and happy, yk it's bad when your child is only a young teenager and she's already going crazy. Sure, it causes “violence” but then I can go to my switch and play animal crossing.
