Why is the Scratch search engine completely broken?
I know this is a duplicate topic, but none of the other threads have been specific enough.
I haven't been able to get search results for months on almost anything. I was trying to look up some joke projects about some memes I saw a couple of months ago, but nothing came up. I tried to look for SimCity projects a few minutes ago but still, nothing comes up. The first few times I tried to look up jokes I just assumed the Scratch Team was retreating back to their old ways of shadowbanning certain topics, but this is becoming a pattern. My friends who rarely use Scratch are even noticing the lack of projects coming up.
It's strange, though, because this absolute lack of projects has its exceptions. Sometimes switching from the projects to the studios tab finally yields results. I've found that when you search the term “games” projects come up almost instantly. (I wonder if this can be reproduced with any other such tags found on the explore page…)
I'm more concerned as to why this is happening than I am concerned in begging for a fix. I could use Google to find projects on this website. But I'm concerned why the Scratch engine in particular has been so recently affected. Have there been server attacks? Have new problems with the search code been overlooked? Has there been an error shadowbanning certain things that's made the whole search engine inoperable?
Thanks

It's a bug; not much more than that.

ST should fix it soon; it's a pretty serious issue.

(Don't post when you're tired.)

Yeah, I mean for the users of the site in general. It's one of the core functions; being able to find projects.ST should fix it soon; it's a pretty serious issue.Admittedly, it's not, at least when compared to other serious bugs that the website has had in the past. Inconvenient, yes, but not serious.
