Daily 11 +399

Did you wonder why Gurtle kept eating our links? Or why Skog and Blahaj had this massive showdown during cabin wars? Well today's your chance to find out! For this daily, the tyrants have generously lent us classified access to all the mascots from past sessions. The only catch is that these mascots are very busy people, and if you'd like to ask them some questions… well, they'd like to see a podcast script for an interview with them of least 350 words beforehand. Earn 300 points for completing the daily, and an additional 150 for proof. Get ready to cause chaos ;D

The Blahaj Interview

Hello, and welcome to The Decent Podcast! I'm your host, Decent, and today we're looking at the king of the sofas, the Swedish Shark! If you haven't guessed already, our guest is Blahaj, the Ikea shark plushie!

First off, we need a detailed introduction to get our readers to know you better. Could you give us that?

Now, could you detail your life before you got invited by Robin?

When and how did you get approached by Robin?

What made you accept the invitation?

What was it like seeing all these scratchers connect and grow?

I think I'm getting too serious here, so let's throw in some silly stuff. Do you like mangoes?

Do you like mangosteen?

Do you have a crush on Yume?

Let's get serious again. Who is you favorite camp leader?

What's your favorite cabin?

Honest thoughts on Gurtle?

Now let's get a bit more serious. What is your best advice for someone really wanting to get to their goal of 8,000 but then seeing everyone do significantly better at writing words while they have a 103 word piece? Don't mind how overly specific this question is, hehe!

I heard there was a massive showdown between you and a mascot named Skog. As an SWC newbie, can you detail everything that happened?

Nice, only 115 words to go- I mean, was it fun seeing all the competition in the camp?

I'm sorry if you've already answered this question, but I'm just following the script here. Thoughts on The Cabin That Will Not Win?

What has some amazing writing you've read during the camp?

How was life after the camp?

I'm actually really curious about this… do you actually know how to write? If so, can you share some of your writing with me?

Yes, 296 words! Oh, er… What do you do in your free time?

Since you're a plushie, what is it like seeing everyone buy your clones? Are you the first Blahaj in the world?

And now we've come to the end of The Decent Podcast! Before we officially sign out, let's let Blahaj do his farewell.

Well said, little shark. Stay tuned for the second episode which will totally come out! I'd never promise something big and exciting to happen only for everyone to forget it 3 weeks later! When have done tha- don't remind me of the object camp. See you soon!

Weekly: Fantasy Cabin Anthem

Hatachi no Koi

A world far away
A library where ancient magic grows
But it got misplaced to a place unknown
Who could ever return them home?

The owls have sent a letter to the people of the new world
“Save the one inside the crystal orb”
“It will return us back home”
The building old
But so much to know
Twist the knob and see inside

The library, waiting for you
The library, waiting for you

Books line the sheves
A dusty smell flowing through the air
The door has been locked shut
Where have we gone, exactly?

“You came here today to bring us back”
An owl said, swooping overhead
Learn our magic and set us free
The books, they glow
There's so much to know
Open up and see inside

The library, waiting for you
The library, waiting for you
The library, waiting for you
The library, waiting for you

Weekly: Fantasy Cabin

It was a week since the magic had leaked into the old library. The creatures inside were wondering how to get back to their own world. There were misty foxes, bright and colorful, and wise wooden owls. They were discussing how to free their leader, as it was she was the only person who could get them back home. “We'll use our magic together, and break that crystal!” suggested a fox. “Our magic isn't enough to break such a magical object,” said an owl. “I suggest we send out letters to the outside world. They can practice magic and get strong than us.” The creatures whispered to one another. Some sharing their approval. “We can finally get back home!” Others were skeptical. “What if those humans harm us?” “SILENCE!” the oldest owl called. “Let's settle this once and for all! Whoever agrees to send letters to the humans, go to my right. Whoever doesn't, go to my right.” Immediately, all the creatures got to their places. Many owls went to the right, while many foxes went to the left. As fast as lightning, the old owl spoke. “So it has been decided. We will send letters to the humans.”

~◇~

Vinn held the letter in her hand, her black hair in a bun. She wasn't really the adventurous type, but something inside of her was begging her to go to the library. She didn't really want to get hurt, so she got her friends, Jack and Berry, to come with her. The library looked old-fashioned, with blackened brick and shattered windows. “Are you sure we're safe? Broken windows can be a sign of human activity,” said Berry, her brown hair swinging around. “Hush,” Vinn snapped. “We're going in the library. Nothing else.” Jack said nothing. As the group approached the door, the door slammed open on them and sucked them in.

The library was bigger on the inside, lined with old books and a top floor, like a balcony. The bookshelves were wooden and shiny. Suddenly, an owl flew up to them. It was carved out of wood, a simple creation.

“Hello, there, fellow humans,” it said.

“Huh?” Jack muttered.

“My name is Willow, elder owl of the Jewelwood Library.” The friends looked in confusion.

“What did you do to us? What is going on!?” yelled Vinn.

“Silence, Vinn.” said Willow. “This is a library after all,”

“First of all, how do you know my name?” Vinn asked angrily. “Secondly, you haven't answered my questions.”

“You have been selected to help us free our leader from the magic crystal, so we can get back home.” Willow explained.

“Can't you do it yourselves?” Jack asked. “You seem to have magic yourselves.”

“We do not have the ability to obtain magic more powerful than what we have right now,” explained Willow.

“Strong magic can break the crystal and free our leader, who is the only one who can get back home.”

Just then, Berry began to speak. “How exactly can we learn magic though?” asked Berry. A purple fox that seemed to be made of mist trotted down to the friends with a book in its mouth. It had blue, beady eyes and other colors swirling inside of it.

“Oh, thank you, Lavender,” Willow said to the fox.

“The black-haired one will take the book, as she seems like the leader of the group.” Lavender said in a high pitched voice.

“Do I have to?” asked Vinn.

“You and your friends have to,” Willow said. “It's what we have chosen.”

Weekly 3: Starry Jellyfish +533

In Houston, Texas, there were two friends named Luna and Lucy. They'd loved stargazing ever since they were 6 years old. They loved how mystical and beautiful the stars and the moon were, pointing out constellations. 6 years later, they still loved watching them.

There was one night which looked normal. Luna and Lucy were laying down. Lucy had her black hair in a ponytail, and Luna had her blonde hair untied.

“The stars look so pretty tonight!” Lucy said, rolling around.

“You say that everyday,” Luna pointed out, chuckling. “Shows how stars never fail to look beautiful every night.”

“What about that one?” Lucy said, pointing to the star. It had a strange blue glow, and was noticeably larger than the rest. It seemed to move closer to them, with stringy things on its bottom. Luna had a strange feeling about this.

“We should go back inside,” Luna said, her voice shaking.

“Why- oh, ok,” Lucy responded. Lucy grabbed Luna's hand and walked to Luna's house.

As they were heading back inside, the “star” seemed to be moving faster and faster. As Luna turned around, she realized the star was a jellyfish. It was about ten feet tall, and shaped like a bell. Luna felt an electric tingle in her body. “RUN!” Luna called. Lucy tried running, but she was too slow for the jellyfish. The jellyfish stretched its tentacles and grabbed tightly onto Lucy. She was screaming for anyone to save her. Out of fear of de@ath, Luna loosened her grip and let go of Lucy's hand. Lucy flailed her arms around as the jellyfish lifted her higher and higher into the sky.

In her house, Luna cried in fear. Why couldn't she save Lucy?

“I saw what you tried to do,” her mom said.

“Tried to,” Luna echoed. “I couldn't save her.”

“You tried your best to save Lucy,” her mom replied. “You just let your instincts take over you.”

“Stop making fun of me, Mom,” said Luna, as she walked upstairs to her room. Picking up her phone she called 911.

“911, what's your emergency?” a sweet voice said.

“Lucy Walker. A jellyfish took her.” Luna replied.

“Ok, and what's your name?”

“Luna Kiara.”

“Can you describe your situation, please?”

“I was stargazing with her and saw a big, blue, jellyfish. We ran away from it, but Lucy got caught by it.”

“Ok, and can you describe the jellyfish in more detail?”

“Light blue. Ten feet tall. Glows.”

“Ok, ma'am, we're going to add Lucy to our database and send this information to the police.”

Lucy hung up the phone. That was all she needed to know. She turned off the lights and went to sleep without putting on her pajamas.

The next day, she got a call from her friend, Alice. She sluggishly picked it up and answered.

“Did you see those jellyfish last night?” Alice exclaimed. “They were so pretty! The rest of Houston has been seeing a lot of them lately.”

“They took Lucy!” Luna yelled, hanging up the phone.

Luna hadn't gone stargazing in 3 weeks. She missed laying down on the grass and counting stars with Lucy. She could only hope she was okay.

Daily 19: Suspicious Wobbly Cow +296

Lily looked at the wide, grassy opening where the cows were kept. Today, she would milk them all until they were dry. Not really, they had calves to feed. She'd keep some of the milk for herself, some for the cows, and sell the rest to the market. However, as she was looking over the cows, one of them seemed to be weak and wobbly. Its legs were skinny, and you could see its bones. She thought the cow just wasn't getting enough food or water, so she'd milk the other cows, put the wobbly cow in the barn, and give her food and water.

Lily came into her house with a bucket full of milk. Her wavy blonde hair was messy, and her cream clothes were all muddy. She poured the milk into three glass cartons, and put them in her refrigerator. She went back to her cow opening, where she took the wobbly cow to the barn. There, she put it in an empty shed, and put food and water with it.

After giving the cow fresh food and water every day, Lily noticed that it never mooed. It didn't move a lot; it only moved to eat food and drink water. When it did move, the cow wiggled like jelly. She didn't want to end up like someone in a horror movie, so she took an axe, and striked the cow's head.

What was inside its head didn't belong to a cow. It was black, a clear, jelly-like substance. She never saw its teeth, so she opened the head up. Inside were long teeth as sharp as needles. There were slits where the teeth went. Suddenly, the jelly-like substance connected to the head. The cow sprang back to life, and opened its mouth.

Weekly: Dangerous Dragon on the Loose

This week, citizens have reported a strange creature in the skies. It is large, green, and bat-like. It has been seen roaming the skies of Houston, Texas. This creature is a dragon that escaped from a lab, and it is currently threatening the state.

Just a few weeks ago, a mysterious company called Nasini has been making the rounds. It is unclear on what exactly the company does, rumors say that the company captures dangerous creatures, like yetis, chupacabras, and of course, the dragon. No reports have come out about where the dragon came from. Nasini has come out, stating that the dragon escaped because of a faulty cage and a breach in security. Since then, police, animal control, and firefighters have been working to access the situation.

From alleged sighting reports, the dragon seems to be as big as a giraffe, being about 20 feet tall, and and about 13 feet long. It has sharp spikes on its back, and has been reported to breathe fire, a deadly description that the police, animal control, and lab security are trying to control.

Yesterday, police tried to control the dragon in a local neighborhood, to little avail. The dragon used its fiery breath to burn down the buildings and the people around it. As the dragon had scales, the police bullets didn't damage the scaly creature. After more fiery breathes, it flew away unharmed, leaving 11 injured and 4 hospitalized. The fire department accessed the damages, while the medical department assessed those injured.
