I think they kept that a secret, but they told their parents about the guy. Early in the film they go to a restaurant with the guy, who makes new food up since the restaurant had bad food. They got kicked out for this; and then I don’t remember the middle of the film other than the dad becoming tiny and breaking his arm or leg. Later they reach to town where the guy is from and realize everyone has been turned to stone because the people were mean to him, and the family leaves. After this the stone guy feels bad and is in the town alone, and he ends up turning people back to normal. I don’t remember what happened after; but they were going to the town to fix their cat I think.

It was a show about dinosaurs that could talk. It was made with dinosaur figures. It looked something like Pnkbunnygirl43's Warrior Cats LPS series, having detailed backgrounds and a very similar style of filming. It seemed like there were more than one voice actor, though, I don't remember the voice acting being too good. It always had dark story lines, like I remember one of the dinosaurs was accused of eating another dino's child.
I remember watching this on my tablet as a kid, so it was likely being made around the late 2010's era.

Not off-topic. Having not watched the WC LPS series, was it stop-motion or was someone moving the figures around with on-screen hands?

It was either with their hands or with a wooden or clear plastic stick attached to the dinosaur's back, they might have swapped between the two
But I could be remembering it wrong and its stop motion idk
I asked my mom about it, she says she remembers me watching it
I also remember some carnivorous dinosaur named Tina, donno if this helps XD
