this is actually really fair
while Squeaky Otter is objectively the best at drums in this forum, we still need to ask permission to use their custom instruments. They are still Squeaky Otter's work and we should learn from it.

please make a tutorial so i dont have to steal from you anymore

for a tutorial, ok, so first start with making a synth kicky sound and then try to add a sound like white noise by using fm or spectrum (for example, all 4 fm sliders at full volume and 1 freq with algorithm 1--4 and feedback vol with 1-2-3-4 feedback) and then mess around with envelopes and note filer and volume to get it sounding good. then try to a something a bit like a click sound. then your done it should sound like this if you add a little bit of distortion to the synth kicks

do you ever get that feeling when you try to remake a song in ultrabox the samples are too short…and then you get confused why even after you follow the tutorials is doesn't sound right then you get really mad.

because….bruhhhh

Whoops, the song data appears to have been corrupted! Please try to recover the last working version of the song from the “Recover Recent Song…” option in BeepBox's “File” menu.

The song that plays while you jolt awake just as you're falling asleep
could someone do something with this change whatever the heck you want I just think the base rhythm is too good for just a joke
Another IDM boi, maybe technically ambient breaks actually
I just added a chonker of a wah and a delay (aka echo) to emphasize the rhythm

and bitcrush and stuff
Still wip, could I post this somewhere btw? I'll credit u
groovy. The mod on the first channel adds a lot to the timbre. i feel like the first channel is a bit too quiet compared to the other ones though.
also tbh I like to listen to IDM but i have little idea on what makes something IDM, other than it being made by “IDM” artists or it calling itself IDM. Obviously since IDM itself is by definition not bound by any genre constraints specifically, other than it being primarily electronic. so generally I prefer to use more descriptive specifiers such as “ambient”, “drum and bass”, or “breakbeat” when describing the song.

Did anyone even click on this??
I don't even know if anyone even clicks on anyone else's links in this. My best guess is that there are most likely clickers but they don't respond since they don't have anything to comment on or don't feel like spending the time to write out their thoughts. The ability to do a +1 reaction would probably alleviate this issue, but these are the Scratch forums.

this is an old tune, from about a year ago, but I want to re-acknowledge it because I actually like it very much. Especially since I seldom make music like this since I focus primarily on a different musical style I developed before gaining an appreciation for this kind of synth music.

I remember when I was making this I embraced an Aphex Twin inspiration, specifically on the “ambient” section. other than that it doesn't really sound like his music, actually. it probably is more reminiscent of Earthbound battle music, which is another thing I had in my mind when making this. Another thing of note, many people said they thought the “ambient” section in the middle was too long. I don't quite understand this to be honest. It seems like a pretty reasonable length for what I was intending. Personally, I actually feel like it's a bit short by a few measures.
