This would make Scratch way better for people who are actually serious in becoming full-time developers. It would also make Scratch more accessible. I don’t see any problem on why it wouldn’t get added.

Mobile users exist, not all can use browser extensions.

And please don't mention browser extensions, even by their initials because that can hint at the real name.

Edit because of demon:

Please don't quote the original post. It makes your post unnecessarily long.
Additionally, as @A-MARIO-PLAYER said, not everyone has extension which shall not be named. Mentioning it can even be removed by ST.
This whole discussion is one giant quote of it in itself, if you think about it.

As I (and many, many more) have stated, this is a great suggestion that should be added and has been seen by the ST many times too.

However, it has become more and more apparent that no more constructive discussion is happening in this topic, and the ST has already seen it, I don't see any reason to keep it open anymore if all thats happening is people saying support without adding to the conversation.

Is it normal for active, non-implemented suggestions to get closed? I asked a similar thing for the print() suggestion and got this response from Paddle2See:

I think it should remain open until it's released as a feature on the main Scratch site.

I still fail to see why we need to leave it open. nothing constructive is happening, so this is just getting bumped randomly by people saying support.

Just like 80% of the other suggestions? I had the same question, and I got an answer. #7948995
(I will admit I could chill a bit on the bumps here.)

Sadly, having official support for Scratch on consoles is rejected on The Official List of Rejected Suggestions.

I think if Scratch were to do this. It would probly be a connect thingy, like wireless head phones. it checks for nearby conmtrollers to connect with, in a 5 yard radius or something
Scratch wouldn't handle this, the OS would. If the controller is connected to Windows, Linux or whatever is running, scratch will see it no matter how it's connected.
Hold the phone! If it is actually rejected on The Official List of Rejected Suggestions, then this is impossible convincing the Scratch Team, right?

There’s a difference between this and consoles.

I agree with you, I understand that all of us love the idea of this being added to scratch, but the Scratch team has already seen this post and even said on the list of rejected things that they won't add this.
