As for desktop Linux, you are all so lucky. I'm not allowed to use a Linux system (other than Android) for at least another 2 years. You and me both.

Hey, I thought this was an images thread.
My Arch setup, with dwm and dzen2. Code shown is lighthouse by emgram769 on Github, currently trying to tweak it to my liking.
I tried out lighthouse for a bit but I didn't find it that useful, so now I use dmenu. Maybe it just needed more configuration.
What font are you using BTW?

I find it quite interesting the number of you that use Linux. I'm curious though. How many of you actually use Linux full time?

How many of you actually use Linux full time?I want to (and I do use it via VMs for stuff that's hard to do on windows (like partition a USB drive) although gnuwin32 has some great cross-compiled binaries) but I'm too used to windows to switch to linux full time.

I find it quite interesting the number of you that use Linux. I'm curious though. How many of you actually use Linux full time?I actually use my Xubuntu desktop a lot for “heavy” tasks that require lots of CPU, disk space/writing, a dedicated graphics card, or a big monitor. Or just for things that would be difficult/ridiculous to do on Mac OS X.
Otherwise, I use my MacBook Pro, because it is easier to carry around and consumes way less power.

I find it quite interesting the number of you that use Linux. I'm curious though. How many of you actually use Linux full time?I have Linux on both my desktop and laptop; I would use it full time on both but a lot of my games don't run well or at all on Linux, so I have no choice there. I vastly prefer it to Windows though!

What are your system monitors in your statusbar? I recognize the memory one and presume the one to the left is processor utilization.Processor utilisation, memory, network, swap space, processor load, and harddrive I/O rate in that order.

I find it quite interesting the number of you that use Linux. I'm curious though. How many of you actually use Linux full time?I duel boot it with Windows 7. The only time I don't use Linux is when I go to play a game such as World of Warcraft or Team Fortress 2.
I use Linux for everything else.

I find it quite interesting the number of you that use Linux. I'm curious though. How many of you actually use Linux full time?Definitely not me. I've used Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 ever since I was first allowed on the computer at about 2008? (I'm not sure, I would've been 5 years old then). I've seen lots of OS X users but I've never allowed to use their Macs. I was very close to using one at a plane lounge but sadly it was an iMac with Windows 7.

I've never seen someone (other than YouTube and Scratch) use a Linux system. Not a single business I've been to uses something other than Windows because they all run Windows XP .
Hey, I thought this was an images thread.Arch Linux is too dangerous for me.

I installed Ubuntu on my old laptop and used it as my main OS for a while because Windows 7 was extremely slow. I tried formatting and reinstalling Windows 7 a couple of times but it gets slow again quickly. I completely formatted the hard disk which took at least 6 hours, then installed Ubuntu. I was amazed by how fast it booted. I managed to go fine without needing to use Windows for a while, but then I wanted to use Visual Studio so installed the Windows 8 Developer Preview along side Ubuntu.
I have been using my MacBook Pro since around the end of 2012. I mostly use OS X and Windows, but sometimes I use Linux in a virtual machine or when I need to fix Windows boot problems. I'm also going to get an RPi 2 soon.
I don't have any pictures to post.

I wouldn't dualboot if his dad had spent 100 dollars on Windows 8.1… it would seem ungrateful.I would use Linux full time… if my dad hadn't spent $100 on the Windows 8.1 license.Just duelboot.

Then use a VM. Virtualbox is a great free one, and VMware workstation, while paid, has great features like unity mode.I wouldn't dualboot if his dad had spent 100 dollars on Windows 8.1… it would seem ungrateful.I would use Linux full time… if my dad hadn't spent $100 on the Windows 8.1 license.Just duelboot.
although I didn't obtain VMware through entirely legitimate means
