Skate Boarding

I don't think there's anyone teaching this stuff where I am!

Perhaps you could tell me how you started out instead? I'm not exactly the most graceful individual, although I found snowboarding easy when I gave it a go.
Basically I started out on a cheap Target deck and just tested it out not using correct form, but sort of my own way, then a few years later my parents got me skating lessons at 3rd Layer Skate park. I was a complete wimp with like the quarter pipes and ramps, so I gave it up. Then my bro got me a skateboard magazine, and I read an interview with some famous skateboarder dude, and basically he said keep trying no matter how bad the injury potentially caused, and you will succeed. He had like a broken arm multiple times, but he still continued skating. You will most likely not get a serious injury depending on what kinds of crazy stunts you try. I hope this was useful!
