This is a Scratch topic for the Dave and Bambi AU by Max Dimo.
This topic isn't official yet, but i have asked Max if it was ok to make it. (he was)
…what else would it be? honestly i have no ideas for the introduction sentence

What's Devius Ex Machina?
The following paragraph is based off what's written on The Devius Website, specifically part of its about page. The paragraph mentions things that are spoilers for D&B 3.0, which are in transparent BBcode. Quote and read through this post again to see them if you are fine with being spoiled for certain things.

Devius Ex Machina, or otherwise abbreviated to things like DEM, DXM, Devius or Machina is an Alternate Universe of the OG Dave and Bambi mod in which Bambi (the farmer) accidentally discovers the P.R.A.E.M (Power Removal and Extraction Machine) in Dave's lower basement. The AU expands on the characters, world and lore of said mod, focusing on psychological exploration of the characters and their relationships with eachother.
The AU types used are Universe Alteration[1], Canon-divergent[2], and Fusion[3]. The AU is Multigenre.

If you have any questions, ask Max on any of their platforms listed in his Listography (linked under the welcome sentence) if you have an account on one, or ask here so I can ask them myself. If you feel that it's commonly asked, see the FAQ page on the website.

The Rules
-Follow the Community Guidelines and The TIRaP guidelines when posting here. The age rating for this AU in 15+, and this is Scratch, where the majority of members are under 13. but tbf the majority of the dave and bambi community on scratch is fine with 13+ things but just to be safe PLEASE follow this rule.
-PUT SPOILERS IN COLOR TAGS. There are people who do want to see AU content themselves, or haven't seen D&B 3.0 lore yet. so if you're going to talk about things like Expunged's upcoming slight tomfoolery or anything funny The Narrator said or even backend devius website code not normally visible, which although encouraged to dig for still counts as spoilers, put that in a transparent color tag. If you don't know how to use color tags but still want to post spoilers, don't.
-If it's mainly Devius related, it's fine. This includes talking about the AU's versions of the characters, the settings and whatnot. Also includes fanart that follows Rule 1 (if your crossposting it, the art elsewhere doesnt have to follow this), maybe fan-writing (as long as it doesn't venture into RP territory and again follows Rule 1) and anything Max is okay with that yet again follows Rule 1.

what if just for the giggles we (the topic members) call bambi's home in nebraska just “elsewhere” since it hasnt been confirmed yet
it already exists as only locations in the us but it would be funny if we just imagined there being a random-ah town in nebraska that bambi lives in

we have Dave with the very cool space jacket who would also be equally as cool himself, Buff Bambi (for some reason his proportions made me think that) and uhhh ummmmm child with a locket and actual hair (tristan)

okay i have the urge to talk about this grhrghd (read the stuff in the color tag to see what im saying)
its really obvious to me what character The Narrator is at this point to me and i need more installments where The Narrator is there (im sorry i just really like this one specific dave and bambi character and i cannot keep this unposted anymore)
and i have LOTS OF QUESTIONS RELATED TO HIM THAT I DONT WANT TO ASK YET FOR SPOILER REASONS, like “is he who i think he is” and about his favorite foods and drinks and favorite games and books and other (phone) gah
even asking about just a little part of his appearance would be enough for me to go crazy and end up getting spoiled myself if max would allow that-
how do i keep my obsession down enough to not think about this

it also seems like bambi is wearing something different in that panel teaser (a vest?) so he has something else to wear that isnt his overalls in the au

okay i cant keep this one question hidden in my brain i have to say it here in the color tag
one of the most unnecessary and entirely not story related questions you’ll ever see
can The Narrator play kazoo if they own any
and another since i just thought of that up while typing this post, which is dave related and a reference to a certain movie if max recognizes the reference
would Dave take the red pill or the blue pill?
(sorry but i’ll be the one asking these questions to max when i can)

lastly, which isnt a question but rather a statement, i have a headcanon design for The Narrator which is just dave but standing and with different attributes from the main characters (and their personalities but exaggerated because autism) and wearing a yin yang-themed locket
its not just dave though they could also look more like bambi or tristan if they wanted to
since they dont have a known design this is their design to me
they’d probably end up looking like a certain character but cooler in the official design though

-Not a traditional character, or someone with a singular identity.
-In some ways, The Narrator's more of a concept rather than a person.
–This means any questions about preferences or likes or anything personal wouldn't apply to them. They don't have any to begin with (cuz they are The Narrator from the popular Alternate Universe Devius Ex Machina).
max also said before saying these things about them that i am far ahead from everyone else just by thinking about The Narrator's identity.
so things are a little more complicated now but i still have an idea somewhat on who they are based on, i just have to headcanon WHAT concept they might be specifically (probably Yin Yang) or make up my own if its a unique one.
and since they're more of a concept, maybe headcanon design changes too to match it

yeah basically the duelity between goodness and evil or order and chaos or sanity and insanity (/ref) thats the concept im thinking of. we might get fooled and it could just be a completely different one though

i suddenly have this idea to make random edits to random comic panels from the series… heres one of them

context for the edit: this is one of those days where tristan has stayed up far too long and dave couldnt get him to sleep, so he got bambi to do so instead. the problem is bambi’s thinking skills and the lack of context (to him), so he got some wild ideas in his head.
