idk if this fits here but some songs in vocaranks are technically lost. we only have short 10 second clips of the song. some of the songs are fully lost. one example is interface, and people are redirecting their efforts to recreating interface instead of finding it

An old post of mine. Just realized it has confusing wording.
None of the songs are “fully lost”, they're just partially lost/found.
And some of the lost songs in the videos actually sound pretty good in my opinion, such as Daily Phone Calls.

Does Could it be count? I heard it's a canceled ncs song with a low quality 14 second preview of the buildup into the first drop (and even the audio's origin is unknown) but the only thing that's stopping me from calling it that is that the artists are already identified.

there was this one song that sounded like it was by Doja Cat that I rlly liked, but I heard it on the radio only ONCE and never heard it again for a couple of years

Sorry to break it to you, but the Saleen thing was a hoax all along. EKT comes from a ###########, recognizable by the strange background noises. But at least we know EKT was found.
Yeah… I was shocked and disappointed when I found out because for the the WHOLE 3 YEARS OF THE SEARCH I thought it was a song for a car commercial. I even got the car commercial vibe when I heard it.

I'm only now realizing this actually has a dedicated topic… So I'm just going to drop that there's an extended version of the “Cave” song from the Scratch library which seems to be official, and nobody really knows where it actually came from. (Apologies if this has already been linked somewhere in this topic. Also, note that the topic post there is out of date, but my post at the top of page 2 should be current I believe.)

And now to read through the 10 pages of this topic in the hope that somebody has found the file of that one song I'm looking for and just can't identify it.

(Also: This probably is less of a “lost song” and more of a “totally known song that I just don't know cuz I live under a rock” but I found this one song in my Scratch backpack with no memory of where it was from (& it probably wasn't credited there since I usually add the credits to the file name before backpacking so I actually know what I'm listening to-) but if anyone can help me find Balloon Parade (see the sprite called “help”) that would be pretty cool. (Might not be the real title, that's what the file name was though.))
