I'm currently working on an airship/flying boat thing. I'm trying to make it collide with the land. You can turn and move forwards and backwards. I got the turning collision code working, and tried using the same concept for the collision moving forward/backward. However, the ship just gets stuck.

here are a few ideas that might help:
maybe the fact that it's scrolling does something
the fact that rotation happens before moving forward/backward could mess up some stuff

try taking a look at this project. Its not exactly the most straight-forward since I made it quite a while ago, but perhaps you could find some ideas in the “objects (collidable)” sprite
