The problem is often multiple people suggest the same thing (including in ways other than the forums, such as Scratch Team members suggesting them themselves), so it can be hard to determine what's the true original source of a suggestion.

I don't know if it would be “bragging,” per se, but I could see a subset of users trying to pester the Scratch Team to implement this suggestion — or ask for more suggestions than necessary — in an attempt to get this alert.

Not when you can already figure out if your suggestion was added based on moderator responses

I think moderator responses are enough, plus discussions that you make are already followed automatically, so you know when a mod has stated that some suggestion is implemented

why?

scratchers on the forums from 10-500 posts have at most, a 7 short sentence span for replies. if you cant keep your posts in this range, then dont act suprised when someone asks for simplified version
