Before 1.x, there were many builds of scratch such as Scratch 11Oct03 (the first (known) version of scratch), Scratch 8Dec03, 14Feb04, 16Mar04, …
And as for the first public version of scratch, it was scratch 1.0, released on May 15, 2007

Oldest found version, not first known though.
There was previously a block coding language planned before Scratch called LogoBlocks/Logo Blocks.
You can find the builds and versions here (I know that it says 2.0 archives, but that's because that's what it was originally created for, and other stuff has since been added):

But then I had a very good idea. I used F5. See, using F5 gave me a whole new perspective and I was able to see a chest I couldn't have seen before.
Everytime I see the number 2024, I think its 2014 for a millisecond but then realize its 2024.
