I think a lot of Wii games look great, despite being not HD.

Earthbound. While not graphically impressive for the time, in fact a lot of people back then hated it, it really holds up quite nicely with lots of color and a comical look to it.

I think all Mega Man X games on the SNES/Super Famicom look like modern indie games, and I know the first one still inspires them to this day. Honestly a lot of SNES games are like that. To me, it's the generation of gaming that has aged best as a whole because it had the start of modern game design philosophies, and decent graphics for today. compare it to N64/PlayStation 1 graphics, it's way better, and even stuff as recent as PS3/Xbox 360 cant hold a candle to it. I think we've gotten better at going for more artistic art styles instead of just going for realism, so in like 20-30 years I bet we'll be saying the PS8's games look just like the PS5's.

kirby super star has amazing graphics for its time. not only are there the regular 2d 16-bit graphics (which already make it look really good) there’s a bunch of levels where some of the platforms are 3d renders. for a snes game which didn’t use the super fx chip, that’s pretty impressive in my opinion.

Halo 3 has some decent graphics imo, the character models are nicely detailed (especially the flood), and most of the weapons look good
