Hello! So, I was just messing around on Scratch, trying to figure out variables, when a question popped into my brain: Is Scratch a social media platform? I have evidence to support this claim. For one, there are followers. In other social medias, there is some form of followers. Also, there are likes, and there are also favorites. You can see how many views a project has as well. That is all. I just want some help figuring this out. I will repeat my question one last time: Is Scratch a social media platform?

Technically speaking, yes, any media platform which allows socialization between users would be a social media

(The fact that you made this post, and that I replied, makes scratch a social media by definition)

Scratch is primarily a programming language with a coding community, and that does involve social media aspects. I would say that Scratch is a kind of social media, but the social part of it is not the main goal/purpose of Scratch.

I'd say pretty much, since Scratch has comments, likes, following, user profiles and the concept of fame and numbers going up.
