Delete confirmation for sprites
Heavily support, and maybe an option to turn it off if you have massive amounts of sprites you want to delete? But that’s very rare anyway.
Also if you don’t know, if you do accidentally delete a sprite there’s always the restore sprite option in edit

Support.
Sometimes, we delete sprites without doing it on purpose and because of auto saving, we sometimes lose large scripts that are long to reproduce.

oh yes, i support this topic also because this would be helpful to users who are making big projects and accidentally click the x button. When trying to restore they find out they accidentally deleted 2 sprites or added a piece of code in some way and they go nuts because they didn't save a lot or autosaving decided to save just then.

Otherwise, there is also a suggestion to disable auto-save.Heavily support, and maybe an option to turn it off if you have massive amounts of sprites you want to delete? But that’s very rare anyway.bump cuz of https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/719420/

I 100% agree that is why I always keep a copy and we need this once I actually did it by accident so I agree.

I mean, they already have the ‘restore sprite’ function, which basically does the same thing without the cumbersome popup dialogue.
If you have a delete confirmation for variables, sprites are more important so yeahVariables are a little easier to accidentally delete imo.

I mean, they already have the ‘restore sprite’ function, which basically does the same thing without the cumbersome popup dialogue. The Scratch Team should make that easier to see though, or just make an undo function other than code. Also, not really. For variables, you have to right click the exact var. For sprites, you can accidentally click a huge button. In 2.0, deleting sprites required the scissors tool or right clicking, and in earlier versions of 3.0 and 2.0, the trash can was an x instead that was way smaller. If you have a delete confirmation for variables, sprites are more important so yeahVariables are a little easier to accidentally delete imo.
Anyway, if this suggestion is implemented, it should be optional.

Looks like a good idea, ive had projects broken because I accidentally deleted a sprite. Even if restore sprite exists, its too easy to accidentally delete a sprite.

Support! I keep on deleting my sprites because I often use ipad, so this would be much better.

Its easier to delete sprites then delete variables meaning you could delete a sprite by accident and never get it back
like what happened to my tabby cat poor thing and now I'll never get him back

Bringing this topic up.
Also, related: In Scratch 2.0, you had to right click sprites or use the scissor tool on those sprites to delete them, and the delete button for sounds and costumes/backdrops was a lot smaller.
