Pasting Doesn't work on projects

so, i'm making a project where i copy and paste stuff from different tabs onto the project tab, but every time i do ctrl + v it makes the page go blank, and it's not stopping!! I can't make the project without doing this, so i don't know what to do! I would appreciate some help!!

What exactly are you copy and pasting? Also, where are you copy and pasting it into?

You can't “copy and paste” code, sound, costumes and backdrops into your project (almost nothing). Instead, you can backpack these things and upload it to your project. That is, if you are getting it from another project.

If it's outside of Scratch you would have to download the item, as far as I am aware.

thanks for telling me! i was actually copying writing (from a fancy text generator site) into Scratch. It was working at first, but as I kept doing it, it stopped working.

Scratch does not support all fancy text fonts, unfortunately, so if you paste an unsupported one, it will go blank.

(1) As Yeetoburro1 said, scratch doesn't support all fancy fonts. (2) Sometimes you may get muted for “spam” or “chainmail” while attempting to post fancy text. So I recommend you just post comments with regular text and characters to prevent such bugs.
