As William Henry Harrison once said, “To code is human, to throw things is divine.” I propose that this be implemented into Scratch. How many times have you been on this website and really just wanted to throw something? Or have something thrown at you? Hmm? Hmm?

Every user page would have a button that says “Throw something at user”. Then you will pick one of seventy-three-and-a-half objects to be thrown at this Scratcher. By this point, a large trebuchet will have been installed at Scratch headquarters at MIT. Mitch Resnick himself will then load this object onto the trebuchet, let it rip, and this object will land harmlessly in the user's front yard (or apartment building roof/igloo, as it were).

The benefits to this are immeasurable:
- Throw things
- Get things thrown at you
- One more trebuchet on this Earth
- New profile page button

The drawbacks, however, are relatively minor:
- High chance of injury

I urge my fellow Scratchers to listen to this idea closely. It could very well be the future of the Internet as we know it.

Under This Announcement, April fools day is not being celebrated on the forums in 2024.
They will be creating an April Fools studio. (source) And the semicolon.

Sorry, I didn't realize the new rules. It's a real shame, but if I had known I wouldn't have made this topic.

Nowadays, we interact with a lot of things through simple, shallow gestures, such as swiping, tapping, etc. Research has confirmed that these simple gestures reduce the number of connections made in the brain. Why not introduce some interesting, familiar, humane mechanics such as throwing so people use their brain more often? DDD
