That isn't a dupe. These topics are wildly different, the topic you linked is for an option to delete every message when checking you messages, this is a topic for filtering which messages you will receive.

Hard support.

Studio activity messages are especially meaningless if you're a member of a very popular studio, where there is guaranteed to be activity every single day. If you get a message about the same exact thing every day, then you might as well not get it at all.

This is entirely situational, but if one of your projects gets featured or curated and subsequently blows up, your messages become absolutely flooded with loves, favorites, comments and whatnot, and not everybody wants thousands of messages in their inbox so it would be helpful to turn off receiving messages during that time until the storm blows over. This happens to more people than you think for it to be a valid problem. It's happened to me several times, and you (probably) don't even know who I am.

And I know how much Scratch doesn't like it when we talk about other websites, but… come on, nearly every other website where you receive notifications has settings for filtering them. There's no reason for Scratch to lack this feature after so many users have requested and supported it for nearly a decade now. And it's clear that the Scratch Team has seen this thread (Paddle2See edited the first post), so I don't really know what they're waiting on.

The ST has ignored this awesome suggestion…

I will give you some of my words of wisdom. Support. I hate when I get studio activity messages when literally NOBODY CARES. This would be a nice feature! I could just toggle what messages I want and don't want. And the search feature would be a good edition because sometimes I have important messages that lead to profile comments links, etc… This is awesome and the ST needs to add this.
