Note that the Scratch Team cannot do anything to discourage this since they sometimes quote the OP themselves.

I agree that we need a more specific suggestion here, with more concrete reasons. How should it be “discouraged”? What does that mean? Why is quoting the OP “annoying,” and why is that grounds for “discouraging” it?

(If everything that I found “annoying” could be “discouraged,” then we would be seeing a lot less projects on Scratch that use the pen blocks. But of course just because I find the pen blocks “annoying” doesn't mean that we should “discourage” it.)

your op is very small if it was smaller it would be fine quoting it

If the OP is too long sometimes scratch reduces is it like:

{Insert long paragraph}…

So basically, scratch reduces it from

5-6 paragraphs

The 3 dots is the contraction of the rest of the paragraphs/excess writing.

However, Scratch barely does this its happened to me once or twice so I think that instead of removing being able to quote the OP scratch should reduce it automatically. OR we'll have to do it manually….
