Gif pfp not working

Hello,
I selected a .gif file to set as my pfp, but it's only showing the first frame and not the animated GIF. Is there a way to fix this?

That's because it happens to be a .jpg or .jpeg file instead of a gif one or your browser did something to the gif causing it to become a jpeg image.

For me it says it is a .png file. This bug also happens with google sometimes. Maybe try again on a different brower/ OS

The file type in my files for the image IS a .GIF, but I do see that when I look at the file now it is in fact a PNG. I am using scratch on Google, lemme try using another browser
