Stuff like

Hey Bully!
That girl you just called ugly? She has been insecure her entire life
The man you made fun of for having a scar? He fought for your country

And so on

Saw the project linked above.

The specific message is a little too intense for Scratch — of course, promoting anti-bullying is fine — but this specific message seems to reference overdosing and child abuse. There's probably a better way to write this message that doesn't mention those topics.

The real guilt-tripping part probably isn't the anti-bullying message itself, but the part where it says something like “Only people with a heart will put this on their profile.” It's probably okay to make a project with the intent into “guilt-trip” people into not bullying others (as long as they're not calling out specific people), but it's not okay to guilt-trip people into putting a message on their profile, and ironically runs counter to the message's goal. (People don't need to spread any kind of message in order to “have a heart.”)

I mean I’d agree that it’s guilt tripping, and I would agree it’s probably not age appropriate for everyone, these aren’t just made up scenarios they have happened, so I personally wouldn’t report it, but what do I know I’m just starting to post on these forums.

It can be highly likely that these are real scenarios, but I wouldn't count on it. Especially at the same school or place.

There's a report category for “this project is misleading or tricks the community” or something along those lines. Specifically the “tricks the community” part leads me to believe that yes, they are reportable.

I dunno. Some of those topics that mostly show up in said projects can be inappropriate though…

Let's see…

Emotional manipulation to the point where the project creator is directly controlling the actions you do in a virtual community that will have a later effect on you (guilt tripping), mentioning inappropriate topics that has the ability to traumatise younger and more vulnerable children for life, calling out of certain people that may lead the people to do the harmful things stated in the project, remixing without changes, wasting people's money as they donated to Scratch to inspire the younger generation to learn through coding while having fun, not this kind of copy and paste projects…yeah thats definitely not good

One last treat: this represents how I feel about “Hey, ___” perfectly.

can somebody give me something to put in my signature

I mean I don’t think it’s trying to be manipulative unless I don’t know the whole sorry, it’s just trying to make a point that bullying is bad. On the base level at least.

Nevermind apparently I didn’t look hard enough. Whoever started it did apparently manipulate people.

I think the message is supposed to be a good one but could also upset people. I beleive you should report it if the way the message is expressed is in a very hateful way
