Where did my comments go?

Hi!

Whenever I get on trending, I close the comments of my profile, the trending project, my most popular project, and my most recent project because they usually get spammed with homophobic/transphobic/anti-furry comments which I don't want to read, but before I do that, I usually type up a whole thing to let people know what's up. This time, I wrote:
A project is on trending again, and the hate comments are getting pretty annoying. Please move to a different site if you want to hate on strangers, thanks. Gay people are amazing, trans people are valid, furries are cool. Read the community guidelines https://scratch.mit.edu/community_guidelines and stop spamming (ads, ascii art, gibberish)

I've noticed that on the following projects
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/78985318/
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/921247772/
had their little except removed without me receiving any sort of warning for it, but for some reason they're still up on:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/957611577/
https://scratch.mit.edu/users/moss-shadow/

Is there a reason these were removed?
I get that mayyyybe you could argue that it started drama or something because it was a rebuke on homophobes/transphobes/etc, but I also had another comment on my profile that I added maybe a week ago about how I was going to be off Scratch for a bit because I was super busy with College Calculus and didn't need any distractions, and this was taken down. I see no reason why it would be reported or taken down. Something like this did happen about 5-6 years ago where I said I was taking a break from Scratch and I was banned for 3 years (I did mention that I was being bullied in school, so I get why that might've been taken down), but for this comment, I absolutely had no malicious intent or anything in saying that Calculus was hard and I needed to focus on studying instead of Scratch.

Don't worry, those comments do not have anything that breaks the CG's. Maybe when you had sent the comment, it might had not actually gone through?

If a comment is reported by enough people, it is automatically deleted. Like the “mass reporting” system for projects, this is done to prevent potentially inappropriate content from staying on the website. But the Scratch Team won't give you any alerts for this unless the comment was actually inappropriate.

No, I saw the comments and the comments were up for a couple days by the time I looked at the projects and the profile page.

Fun_Cupcake_i81: What, were you expecting not to see the utc - 12 thing again? THE UTC - 12 THIGN ALWAYS RETURNS. ALWAYS.
medians: I knew it would happen. I was the one who started it last year.
Fun_Cupcake_i81: Well then if you didn't want it back maybe you need to time travel to last year and fix that

Oh wait if you could time travel I think we all know exactly when you would go-

user2: But this is medians we're talking about, so “from 2.0” can mean the same thing as “from five seconds ago”.

Is there any way for those comments to be put back up like how projects can be put back up? Because will get get pretty annoying if any time I comment anything such as an announcement or update, I'll just get mass reported and deleted in a few days anyway

I don't think there's really a scalable way for the Scratch Team to do this. You could rewrite the comments yourself, but as you said, that would be pretty annoying. Perhaps writing your comment in a less “antagonistic” way will not encourage others to report it. Maybe the following would be good:
This project is on trending, and I'm closing comments due to disrespectful comments and spam. Please remember to be respectful to others.
I can explain the changes I made:
  • I removed “the hate comments are getting pretty annoying” because, if you reveal that you are annoyed by hate comments, then bad users may find other ways to annoy you (e.g. by reporting your comment).

  • I removed “Please move to a different site if you want to hate on strangers, thanks”; I see what you're going for here, but maybe it would be better to encourage others not to spread hate anywhere?

  • I removed “Gay people are amazing, trans people are valid, furries are cool.” There is absolutely nothing wrong about this sentence, but this is probably the sentence that is leading others to report your comment, solely for disagreeing with it.

  • I reworded “Read the community guidelines and stop spamming” because this could sound like a command. Some people confuse helpful suggestions with disrespectful commands, so perhaps some users are reporting the comment as a result of this.

Finally, the other option is to just close comments without leaving such a comment. If someone asks why comments are closed, you can tell them. Unfortunately, this option (as well as my revised quote above) doesn't really spread the same message/impact as your original comment, but these are the best solutions I can offer if all you want is simply for users to stop reporting your comments.
