Weekly no. 4

Outline (plot-based method)

  • Elizabeth, an 18-year-old stable girl working for a rich couple, learns from the couple that the heiress to the kingdom has gone missing from eavesdropping on their conversation.
  • A young man finds Eliza while she was going to the market one day, saying how similar she looked to the heiress. He said he was the king's general, and that he had an idea. Eliza, before even realizing, was tricked into coming with him to the palace.
  • She was given very little information and was tricked into pretending to be the new heiress.
  • She realized what was going on, finally after eavesdropping on the general's conversation with the king. She turned angry and began planning.
  • Eliza planned to run away during the night. She hadn't wanted to play the heiress and hated how easily she could be manipulated into such a position. She left at midnight but was soon discovered by guards.
  • She was planning to make her journey through the roads, away from the palace, but with guards after her she had to flee into the forest to try to lose them. Only, there were wolves around, so she would have to make her way through carefully.
  • After an encounter with a large gray wolf, who didn't attack her or even come close, she finally left the forest and returned to the streets again, where she bought a cloak to disguise herself. She knew how similar she looked to the heiress, despite the fact that she was older.
  • Her new plan was to find the heiress and get her back on the throne so that she wouldn't have to deal with the drama. She learned after eating at an inn with a group of gossipers that the heiress wasn't kidnapped, but actually fled to a neighboring kingdom.
  • Eliza, about to start making her way to that kingdom, encountered three thieves, who said she looked suspiciously similar to the heiress. Telling them she got that a lot, she began to make her way to the horses, hoping to steal a horse. They got her into telling them where she was going and offered to come along. Although she didn't trust them, she agreed because she knew there would be criminals on the roads to the kingdom.
  • In fact, they did come across a few criminals, who knocked her out, so the group of thieves she was with had to make camp and wait while she gained consciousness again. This is where the plot will switch to a different POV, to the quieter of the thieves who has a ✧˖°. crush ✧˖°. on Eliza.
  • When Eliza gains consciousness again, they begin to make their journey again, but one of the thieves calls her “princess” which unsettles her because, as she'd already explained to them, she was just a stable girl. She still couldn't help thinking about why she looks so similar to the heiress.
  • Eliza and her group continue in silence. They are encountered by a patrol of palace guards, where Eliza has to hide in the woods while the guards talk. Again, she overhears everything. Apparently, the thieves are working against her and with the guards who have kidnapped the real heiress. The gossipers were wrong. It was the guards doing, and the thieves were only leading Eliza away from the true princess. That was the moment where she decided she would run away, hoping to get away from the traitorous thieves.
  • Eliza takes her horse and runs while the thieves were still talking with the guards. During their conversation, the guards disclosed the princess's/heiress's location. Eliza went to a new diner where she asked how to get there. The people were kind there, and they told her exactly which direction to go.
  • Thankfully, this time they didn't lie. Eliza went on the road with no interruptions, and finally found the heiress, waiting in a cell. That was when the group of thieves had caught up to Eliza. Right as she was about to free the heiress, they shoved her in the cell as well.
  • Eliza hated her old travelling companions. The one who had a ✧˖°. crush ✧˖°. on her felt terrible. He was planning to release her and only her as long as she promised to never come back or reveal the heiress's location.
  • Eliza promised, but of course, she didn't keep it, as she snuck back in an hour later and pick locked the cell. She escaped with the heiress without the thieves noticing.
  • The two had to go very quickly, or they might've been intercepted and taken captive again. On the way, the heiress tells her that she's not actually the heiress and that Eliza's her sister, who deserves the real throne. Eliza doesn't believe her, but after explaining, Eliza finally understood, but asked why the heiress would give up the throne. The heiress explained that she never really wanted the throne.
  • Eliza didn't want the throne either, but she decided that she would take it for the kingdom. She would be crowned a few months later.
  • While she was on the throne, the thief who had a ✧˖°. crush ✧˖°. on her came to visit. And apologize. He offered to help her run away, because heroes never got happy endings. She was a hero, but she could stop being one. Even though it was tempting, she refused.
  • Eventually, she gave the throne to the next in line, her cousin, who happily accepted it. She lived the rest of her life happy. THE END
