The memory bandwidth on the new MacBook Pros is lower than the previous generation, which is probably part of why they increased the RAM counts.

my macbook keeps on using up space by itself is there any reasons that this would be caused. a month ago i had the same problem and removed a 20GB file but now the problem is back somehow (i have literally only downloaded 2GB worth of files within the last month)
⇩ publicly controlled image ⇩ (i do not necessarily condone or agree with anything it says)
you can find out who the current owner of the signature is here
(and ask them for permission to change it if you want)

Yet they still thought it would be a good idea to lie to consumers about how 8GB RAM > 16GB RAM The memory bandwidth on the new MacBook Pros is lower than the previous generation, which is probably part of why they increased the RAM counts.

(#1585)Actually, the 8GB MacBook Pro (normal M3) still has the same memory bandwidth as the M2 model. The memory bandwidth change was only on the Pro and Max chips. But I agree, 8gb is not enough. They should have done 12gb at least.Yet they still thought it would be a good idea to lie to consumers about how 8GB RAM > 16GB RAM The memory bandwidth on the new MacBook Pros is lower than the previous generation, which is probably part of why they increased the RAM counts.
