In my game when a spike touches the player I want it to set ‘Alive to False’ (alive is a variable) but it’s not reacting when they touch. What do I need to do?

In my game when a spike touches the player I want it to set ‘Alive to False’ (alive is a variable) but it’s not reacting when they touch. What do I need to do?Could you link the project?
