improve context in the community guidlines filter

So, the community guidelines detector is probably the most inaccurate bit of the filter bot, rude comments dodge it and innocent comments get the user muted.

So, my suggestion is to check context e.g if the scratcher who posted the comment seems to be in an argument with another, or is saying ‘has an inabilty to’ or etc
Although the alert and report system exists, you still have to deal with wrong mutes

What is the “Community Guidelines filter” and how is it different from the regular filter bot?

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

So, just the regular filter bot which triggers mutes?

filters aren't clever enough or designed to detect context, they are just there to detect words that are unsuitable for the Scratch website. Are you suggesting for the Scratch Team to manually review the context of comments as a replacement to the filter? That is way too time consuming for the moderators and Scratch just doesn't have the resources for that.

Exactly. Getting a filter to detect context would be very expensive for ST, and that should be considered.
