I do not like chain comments and spam. Is reporting these types of comments considered good?
Chain comments, as everyone knows, are the “post this comment somewhere else!!!111” messages.
Spam is…spam. Posting a lot of the same or random comments.

Hmm. If you asked “Am I allowed to spam on my own profile,” I would discourage that. In some cases, spamming even in your own space can be problematic (for example, it could encourage others to spam, on your profile or elsewhere).

But it seems you are asking what to do if you find someone else spamming on their own profile. Honestly, I would probably just ignore it. You could probably report it, and if you did, the user may get an alert, but I wonder what that would really be accomplishing. This doesn't seem like an offense major enough to get reported. But this is just my personal opinion.

I think it's appropriate to report advertisements. They're generally considered spam.

What about long conversations? My (IRL) friend and I had a REALLY long conversation on my own project. I think it was like 30 comments long before I deleted some of them. Are those bad?
Would it be worse if it was on someone else's project?

I’d like to add that it’s only reportable in a place where ads aren’t allowed. For example, if @scratcher’s profile says “don’t advertise” no someone advertises in their comments, it’s reportable, however if @scratcher’s profile says “ads are allowed” then it’s not reportable.

It’s also not reportable on studios and projects that allow ads.
