Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced


Back in 2019 I announced I was working on an updated version of a zombies project I had originally released in 2011. Today marks the day that the project has finally released as my final game project on the Scratch Software after 15 years with the program. Call of Duty Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced is a faithful pixel art recreation of the Call of Duty World at War Map with additional weather effects, foliage, and effects. Using everything that I have learned on the software over the past 15 years, I look forward to seeing what people think of the project as I monitor the online leaderboard high score. Please leave a comment on the project with any feedback you have as this project is a stepping stone towards greater things down the road. Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

Hello everyone, I will be posting Patch Notes as major changes are implemented. Additionally, I have built in the ability to turn the game into “Update Mode” live so I can update while the game displays it's in maintenance for everyone else. This is to avoid anything breaking while I am changing things.

Version 1.04 Patch Notes:
  • 1.01 - Added forward pillars to the map for dimension. Zombies and the player can now move behind certain terrain objects.
  • 1.02 - Adjusted pillars to disappear during menu. Pillars were visually shaking when active on the menu so they have been hidden when the menu is open.
  • 1.03 - Removed a test code that reset the high score. A command for “When X key pressed” was left in the project to test high score resets
  • 1.04 - Fixed Online Leaderboard Tracking. The cloud variable was incorrectly resetting upon green flag being clicked and needed to be renamed.

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

With Version 1.06, a new animation has been added when zombies are defeated instead of previously disappearing while standing up. Additionally, the player now has immunity to damage if touching a zombie that has already been defeated. Please let me know what you think of the following changes and thank you for playing the game.

Version 1.06 Patch Notes:
  • 1.05 - Added New Zombie Death Animation. Zombies now fall to the ground and disappear instead of disappearing while standing.
  • 1.06 - Added Damage Immunity to zombies in Death Animation. Code for Damage to the player has been moved and updated from the Player to the Zombie Clone Sprite.

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

Version 1.08 is now out with some music improvements. The Game Over Sound no longer overlaps with the First Round sound when starting a new game. Additionally for those Call of Duty Zombies Fans out there, a Music Easter Egg has been added. Good luck and please refrain from cheating or posting how to activate the Easter Egg. Enjoy.

Version 1.08 Patch Notes:
  • 1.07 - Game Over and First Sound Sound Loop no longer overlap when starting a new game.
  • 1.08 - Added new Music Easter Egg

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

Version 1.11 is now out with new Menu music and an increase to the damage upgrades. You can now spend up to 10 Skill Points on the Damage Upgrade to increase all damage up to 50. Since most weapons deal an average of 80 damage this is a significant increase to help you get to higher rounds for the Online Leaderboard. It even increases your melee damage. I will update the Notes and Credits section with the name of who ever is top of the Online Leaderboard.

  • 1.09 - Added new menu music
  • 1.10 - Fixed a visual bug with the damage upgrade and increased the total damage increase
  • 1.11 - Buffed the Kar and Scoped Kar to perform with higher damage due to the slow fire rate (will monitor changes)

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

Version 1.13 is now out with changes to the increased health zombies gained per round and a bug fix with reload animations when replacing a weapon with a wall weapon or box weapon. Now, players can reach higher rounds at an easier progression pace. This will be the last project update for a while unless someone discovers an issue that has not been previously found. Lastly, a new banner has been created to symbolize the successful release of both The Tomorrow Children 2D and Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced.

  • 1.12 - Changed the increase to zombie health per round
  • 1.13 - Fixed a bug with weapon reload animation when purchasing a new weapon

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

Version 1.18 is now out with changes to the experience system along with additional UI features including a brand new crosshair. Experience gain has now been adjusted and can be earned by round completion, window repair, zombies defeated, and rooms opened. A new upgrade text was also added to notify when an upgrade has been earned. The new crosshair will now change appearance when an enemy is hit and follows the mouse pointer for better tracking of weapon aim. UI Text was added to indicate when a window could be boarded and when to reload. Another attempt was also made to fix the cloud leaderboard tracking issue. Please keep me informed of any bugs that are encountered and thank you to everyone who has experienced the game.

  • 1.14 - Improvements to the cloud leaderboard
  • 1.15 - Experience changes and improvements
  • 1.16 - Added new crosshair with damage indicator
  • 1.17 - Added reload text prompt animation
  • 1.18 - Added window rebuild text prompt when near damaged windows

Zombies Nacht Der Untoten Enhanced

We are now closer to the official version 1.2 release. Groundwork has been made for introducing pickups into the game including the nuke, insta-kill, double points, max ammo, and carpenter. Pickups will spawn randomly upon defeating enemies in areas that have already been unlocked and eventually flicker and despawn. Due to the size of the project, the settings menu may be removed to compensate for the additional sprites added with the pickups update. Patch notes for the Version 1.2 release will be included as soon as the patch is ready to release.
