For all who are interested, Highlight space after the colon for questions: What are your favorite skate board brands? ( This includes all skate clothing brands.) What are your favorite High tops?

I wonder if I'm too old to learn to skateboard now. Growing up there was never anywhere flat enough. Same deal for rollerblades. Perhaps this summer I'll have a go…

No matter your age, you are never too old to skate.

I'm certainly not that old (late 20s) but I'm not sure how quickly I'll heal if I fall, at least compared to you guys!

I'm not totally sure that age affects how quickly you heal.

Eventually you will be older and you'll learn through experience that you no longer heal as quickly as you once did.

But on the plus side being an adult is amazing, assuming one chooses for it to be amazing.

Here's a question for you lot: I have a skateboard, where do I start?

I've tried multiple times, but I never got to far. Anyway, I've always started by pushing off on a flat surface and making sure I can balance on the board. It's harder (at least for me) than I'd think.

Basically, just grab a deck and hit the ramps. It helps to have a sort of confidence as if you have been skating all your life. also If you are serious about skating, then I would start paying for lessons at the least expensive skate park. That's about it! Have fun!

I don't think there's anyone teaching this stuff where I am!

Perhaps you could tell me how you started out instead? I'm not exactly the most graceful individual, although I found snowboarding easy when I gave it a go.
