Private/public accounts
There should be an option to make your account private/public in your account settings.
Here are reasons why this should be added:
• It can be used as an April Fools prank.
• Users can use it to make their account unavailable (e.g. when they have moved on to another programming language).

So why bother making an account in the first place?

No, this makes it more like Instagram. Also, if only certain people can see it, it can be used for private messaging

it could remove the ability to comment
But, a workaround is to no confirm your email, which lets you create projects but not comment, love, fave, etc.
people can see your profile, but it would be empty

Alternatively, you could confirm your email but then just not share any of your projects, and keep the comments off.

support, you can use this in an emergency too
say you have someone stalking you on scratch, or you’re afraid they’ll find your scratch account. you can just private your scratch account, and it will be blacklisted from search. comments will still show up like on TT, but in order to see favorites, WIBD, etc. you need to send a request.

There should be an option to make your account private/public in your account settings. The second case, they can just delete their account.

i could see many users using this. A lot of individuals delete their account only to end up regretting it.
