huh, i didn't know they changed Combusken's shiny. it'd be cool if they did that more often, there's somewhat of a precedent for it at this point. i can't believe they messed up Armarouge and Ceruledge so badly, all they had to do was swap their colour schemes and it would have been pretty cool already.

on the topic of shinies, what are some more lines like Tyranitar where certain evolutions are way better than others? off the top of my head, i'm not a huge fan of shiny Sentret, but Furret's one is really cool. and Tranquill's is downright terrible, but male Unfezant is one i like a lot. the bold colours are cool, reminds me of other shinies like Honedge or Galarian Linoone. (well, the whole Galarian Zigzagoon line actually, but i had to get it in there somehow)

not much to say about Lotad… uhh. it's a version-exclusive, which always felt kind of weird to me. i honestly think at this point they should just release a single game and do away with version-exclusives, kinda like they did with Legends:Arceus. but… money, i guess.

Lotad has a pretty cool shiny, imo

edit: forgot to mention Nuzleaf. not much to say about it. although, an addendum to what i said before about version exclusives- i think it's nice that Scarlet/Violet gives you the option to catch version exclusives from the opposite game by using the Union Circle. that, and the increasing ease of communication (e.g. people setting up codes to trade specific difficult-to-get Pokémon) is making them less of an issue
