Hi there! I'm trying to challenge my self as a amuter scratcher by making an animation maker called S.A.M! (Scratch Animation Maker) do you happen to have tips or suggestions???

I think this would be a better fit for the requests or Project Ideas forums, as you are not currently in need of help with a specific script.

It would be better fit here or in QaS as they are still asking questions about scripting, just not any specific script.

As for OP, you should first have a large plan on the basic idea of how your animator should work. For example, would it be based on clones with different costumes in the sprite, be based on multiple sprites, or be based on a pen sprite which draws the animation? We can't really help you with that (atleast not here, maybe in project ideas?) except ig provide you some ideas

Please for the love of god, do not use Forever blocks. They heavily lag the system.
Also, use variables.
For example..

set [is running?] to [no]when green flag clicked

It is simple, and I know you said amateur, but it may help.
