I mean… yes and no. The main website receives far more reports than the forums on any given day, so the Scratch Team handles far more reports on the main website than on the forums. Since there are so many reports on the main website, it takes a while to get through all the reports, compared to the forums in which it's easy to go through all the reports since there are not that many.

like this is either segregation or just over-accesibility. i am pretty sure we don't need an entire subforum for f4f

Yeah. They should just have a place where they can officially do their F4F so there are not these spam comments etc. any more on places where they shouldn't be

I don't want a place specifically for f4f advertised by scratch, or else F4F haters will immediately go there to hate on literally everyone there. Things that are contested on whether it should be added the community shouldn't have scratch picking a side, either. People could get angry with scratch or something.

I somewhat agree with your first sentence, but it may be a good idea to assume good faith. Those who do spread hate can just be reported, as being disrespectful is against the Community Guidelines.

As for your second sentence, the Scratch Team has already picked a side regarding F4F — namely, F4F is allowed on Scratch. I don't see many folks who are angry with Scratch for allowing F4F to exist. (There are some, but far from an overwhelming amount.)

I mean, I don't see why not endorsing F4F is a big deal — worst case scenario there will be a couple more spammy comments

No support. This place for F4F would be less of a space that is safe for those who support it and do it, and will be brutally abused often. This does not seem like the best solution to separating F4F from the website as a whole, and it's probably not worth the time to implement it to scratch.

^^ studios would and already do work a lot better for f4f. a forum topic also might work, although it should probably be given the ok by a moderator first. but a specific place on the website made for only f4f is overkill.

Edit: Yes, then you could also block off F4F from other site areas and nope - it's not for supporting like the F4Fers or the other side (anti-F4Fers) but rather to avoid arguments and let both sides be happy while both can do their thing.

And yeah the advertising part is removed because that's another thing.

There are already studios that do F4F so making a specific place for would make a lot of studios go, well, empty. Since some people on scratch only come on scratch FOR followers, it ruins the purpose of them being on scratch

Because endorsing F4F would spread the idea that scratch is about fame/is a social media platform, which is not what the ST wants.

you could just create an f4f studio or something.
