Hello world!
this would be pretty far down the st's agenda and might not even get implemented at all, especially since it's a small change that's most likely not going to get noticed whatsoever by anyone, has the potential to distract (only very slightly but nonetheless) from development of features and patches, and makes no appreciable difference (qol, ux or otherwise) to scratch or its users

Hello world!
I think “Hello” is a pretty standard greeting that one would expect one character to say to another.
I don't know if this is related, but consider the following block in the Scratch 3.0 editor:
The default values in Scratch 3.0 are “apple” and “banana”, but in Scratch 1.x and 2.0 it was “hello” and “world”. Is there a reason why this would have been changed? If so, the Scratch Team may be unlikely to change the default value in the “say” block to “Hello World!”

(join [apple] [banana])

I think its because of what Hello World is, its typically a simple program meant to ensure you set up an IDE properly: I think “Hello” is a pretty standard greeting that one would expect one character to say to another.

import <iostream>
int main(){
std::cout<<“Hello World!”;

Uhh what does that mean The join block isn’t something I’d associate with the join block personally

Hello world!
I mistyped. I meant that it isn’t typically associated in IO in how a kid probably would associate it with in Scratch, that is output to the stage.Uhh what does that mean The join block isn’t something I’d associate with the join block personally

Change the default text in thesay [Hello World!]from Hello! to Hello World!
just because it would be a fun little detail
As you mentioned, it would be a fun little detail, it is probably too small for people to notice as people these days dont notice as much as they used to. This might go to the ST, but it almost has no chance of being implemented as it is such a small detail…
Hope you dont misunderstand

So you can't change it to a more general greeting a bit easier to delete like Hi cuz when i'm deleting the “hello” from the talking bubble it sometimes glitches and takes too long in the end to delete it. I'm not sure if there's a bug report forum but let me just see if there is a bug report forum.
