Bitmap offsets costumes

My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 121.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

Basically, I was working on a project commemorating two years of making vector art, and finally finished after two hours of work. I then converted the costumes to bitmap, then vector, for personal reasons, and for whatever reason, most of the costumes, despite me clicking “convert to vector,” stayed as bitmap, and also randomly offset for no reason. And since you can't undo a change once you leave the sprite, I lost two hours of that work. Before anyone says I should've made a backup costume for each, I was unaware this would happen, therefore I didn't feel the need to make backups.

Bitmap offsets costumes

I don't understand what you mean by “randomly offset”, was the sprite originally centered to the canvas but got shifted? Is it the zoomed in sprite pane (in which case you can zoom out)?

Also when you say that a sprite didn't go back to being vector after converting it to bitmap, do you mean that the sprite was still low quality? That's completely normal; there's no way to converting a bitmap image back to vector unless you make some guesses about the original image.

1. The sprite was originally centered, but got shifted, and part of it got cut out of the frame.

2. When I meant the sprite didn't go back to vector, I pressed “convert to vector,” however it was still on bitmap mode when I went back to the costume.
